I am already in canada, i won't need to give medicals for baby or add baby to application, coz baby will already be canadian citizen. my wife did her medicals in march 2012 for work permit so we didnt actually need to go for medicals. we are gonna ask CIC-Ottawa if they can consider her past medicals, which is valid for a year. hope it works out.

Write a letter asking them to consider her using her previous medical. Include details of her name, file number and where the medical was done. You can also include the receipt if you have it. Good luck.

congrats, could you please answer 2 questions:

1) You got request from E-mail or Post? I Got my MR from E-mail and waiting for PR
2) how much money you for RPRF?

Hi,

My MR arrived by post and PPR by email & post.
RPRF is CAD$480 per person.

Cheers,

THANKS Bio.. i have the receipt, i am gonna ask my consultant to forward it to CIC-Ottawa. doctor office said it will take 2 weeks for the report to reach ottawa. i got my caips report last week it shows my criminality n security is cleared. so i believe if my medicals is done, i am not far from decision made. hope i get across this hurdle.

Thanks guys, hope you all won't have long to wait.

All the best, what a journey...in Jan 2010 I was on the verge of applying via FSW and realised on the night before that I did not the meet the criteria. I went on the cic website to look at alternate options, I realised I could get a 1 year working visa. I applied for and got it after 6 weeks. I got on a plane and flew into Vancouver last July. I was rather fortunate, got a job within 6 weeks of arriving, applied to the BC Govt for PNP and the rest is history. I have always played it safe in my life and was not one for risk so my journey has been a lot about self discovery. I love it here in Vancouver, I'm very fortunate, thanks to the big guy upstairs. Take a chance guys, you won't regret it.

Cheers,

OM

Hello everyone!!

I am literally out of my brains!! Here are the series of events :

>> PR Application processed at NDVO. PPR/MR/RPRF Requested, sent passport on 20th of June 2012. Reached NDVO on 25th June
>> Medical Recieved on E-Cas on 28 June
>> Status changed to Decision Made on 21st July
>> Still no sign of passport anywhere as of 1st August 2012

I know people who got their passports after DM in matter of 3 days.

I dont know what to do.

Could anyone advice what step should i take next?? Email takes around a month to recieve a reply from NDVO. Is it ok to send them a mail asking back for the passport?

Since am based in Canada and the passport is sent to NDVO in India, I already sent them a letter giving the address at which the passport should be sent back after processing.

Am here in Canada.

Hats off for you OM, thanks for sharing your journey, it was an inspiration.
With determination and true faith, God will always guide and bless us all!
