is it necessary for you status to change to "in process" before getting ppr ?

no, many people got PPR without showing in process. the system is 10 years retarded.

"in process" will replace "application received" or appear after clicking "application received"?

Yup it changes to in process and the inside it would have 2 lines

First one would say we received your application on xx/xx

Next line would say we started processing your application on xx/xx

Hi ruby.. It's always better to send monst recent and updated documents when they request for it. That way of they request u for documents and u send them old ones u could lose considerable time in them requesting for new documents .. Anyways .. Now that u r waiting for ur mr .. Might as well keep ur current employment letter ready .. I think it would be ok for you to send old docs from previous employers .. It's jus my opinion.. You may wait for other responses as well.. Cheers

Finally Address appeared on my Ecas Status. Not sure what took it to too long. if they stored my file now as mentioned in other thread, god knows then when they gona open it for decision made.

I also recvd email from hong kong visa office on 24.5.2012 for mr, rprf, passport,photos. I thing we r on same processing. They start pocessng my file on 22 may2012. My ecas shows in process nd my address shows on it. So plz if u get any update share vid me. Dis gives benifir to both of us..

Hi everyone,

I see lots of comments about addresses showing up on ecas.

I moved about 6 weeks ago, so I updated my address with CIC online. While updating it, I noticed there was no previous address on file for me. Few days after I did this, my address showed up on ecas and it's still there. My guess is now they have put in everyone's address on ecas? Does this shed any light?

thats what i am wondering, are we getting MR in snail mail? if we reside in canada and our visa office is NDVO?

I am in US right now and any regular mail they send from India it took about 2 to 3 weeks to reach in the past.
So will let you know if I receive snail mail.
