Hi Guys

i think u can check your application status via Client Application Status.

we need financial receipts (IMM 5401) in order to check the status.

Thanks

Hi Bhinda,

quick question mate, what are financial receipts ? I dont remember getting any of those or applying for it either.. could you please explain a bit on that. Cheers

nice to hear reactions regarding submission of application to CIO.. just wanna ask... it is stated in my LOA that i must include the LOA original copy to the package but on CIC's checklist, only the copy of it.. how about you guys, did you send the LOA original or just a copy only?

one thing more... what original documents did you send to CIC? even if only a "copy" is being asked for these? hope you can help.. thank you...

Hi Ariza,

As per the LOA we received, it says we need to submit the original ones to CHC of your country.. CEM Manila in your case... but as per the checklist, we just have to give a copy to CIO and I even confirmed it by calling MPNP. so that should be fine, I guess we might need to keep the originals with us till the documents are transferred from CIO to our concerned visa offices.. again.. thats just an assumption.. we might need to send the originals.. or we might not .. :)

They have clearly mentioned on the website that we only need to send the documents that are requested on the checklist and as per the request.. so in that case, the only original documents are the forms completed and signed by us that needs to be original for PNP and also all the relevant Police Clearance Certificates from each country as well.. apart from that .. all of them should be certified true copies.. Hope this helps.. Cheers..

Silly question but at what point do they look at an applicants paper work to decide if they will put it into processing or not? I assume there's a queue right? So upon receiving an application do they look over the documents then or do they toss it in a queue and look at it in a few months time when they get to it?

Hi oldmiltonian,

According to how I see it, (just an assumption) and based on the information I received from the website, they would look at the documents at CIO sydney, and once they feel that we have given all the documents, they would send us an acknowledgement of receipt stating that they have received our documents at the CIO and sometimes, they may ask for additional documents as well, if they feel our application is incomplete.. they would either issue an AOR with addl docs request or send back the documents.. either on of this could happen, I just hope they request for additional documents rather than send our documents back.. and once the documents are complete, they would send it to the concerned visa office for further processing like background check and security checks and MR and PPR and finally issue visa .. long way to go for all of us .. cheers

thank you.. one thing more, :) copies are being asked, not 'notarized copies' right? only clear copies...

Hi ariza,

they have not specifically mentioned on the document checklist that the documents should be notarized, but I had downloaded the older document cheklist and it is stated that all the copies of the documents thta are requested should be notarized and certified true copies.. besides it would be better for you to send the notarized copies just to be on the safer side, what if you send non notarized copies and later on request for notarized ones.. it could further delay your application and turns out to be all the more expensive for you to send all the documents back to CIO again.. but yea .. like i said .. i would reckon that they wouldnt hesitate or have an issue in us sending notarized copies.. afterall it would make all the documents all the more authenticated rite ... :)

hi guys, how many months it will take for us to receive a news from CIO NS after they received our PRV application?... any idea... thanks..

Good day mate,

Unfortunately, no body knows, we have people in this thread who have submitted their files to CIO as early as 12/12/2011, and they have not heard anything yet, so I am assuming, we still have a long way to go.. all we can do at this stage is help each other and be patient and try not to stress out .. I do know its really stressful, but yea .. all we can do is .. just pray and hope for the best and look forward to getting everything sorted .. good luck to u and the rest of us here .. cheers :)

Just a random information, Ive seen people people say .. sometimes the email goes into junk or spam .. and from what Ive seen, most people are getting information regarding AOR, MR and PPR via email.. so just keep an eye out on junk as well.. I am just saying .. coz I usually delete all spam and junk without even checkin em, so was a bit concerned .. thats all :).. anyways .. have a good one guys .. cheers.. :)

Thanks, I guess that means they put it in a queue when it arrives and look at it on a 'first in first out' basis.
