Assuming that everything goes well at the CIC office in NOva Scotia, which office will be responsible for the medical request, PPR and visa issuance? Is it still the Canadian Embassy based in Manila??

nice to hear reactions regarding submission of application to CIO.. just wanna ask... it is stated in my LOA that i must include the LOA original copy to the package but on CIC's checklist, only the copy of it.. how about you guys, did you send the LOA original or just a copy only?

one thing more... what original documents did you send to CIC? even if only a "copy" is being asked for these? hope you can help.. thank you...

Hi Ariza,

I went with the checklist and sent them a copy of the LOA. I suspect the reason they want you to send copies is just in case they 'lose your application docs'. It says on the forms that your VO may ask you for the originals later.....again just speculating, if they have lost your docs, one would be able to send the originals over to one's VO. I sent them originals of the police clearances, and transcripts (only because I have a few originals of these).

Hi,

The document checklist for the PNP on the CIC website has an exhaustive list of what you need to supply...I assume that's what you are asking?

Silly question but at what point do they look at an applicants paper work to decide if they will put it into processing or not? I assume there's a queue right? So upon receiving an application do they look over the documents then or do they toss it in a queue and look at it in a few months time when they get to it?

Finally my application has been delivered by Aramex to CIO NS last Jaunary 04, 2012, hoping to have a response the soonest time... Regards to everyone. ;)

I think all copies have to be notarised, might be wrong.

hi dazzling, CIO sydney, only does a quality check of all the documents that we submitted, they do that to ensure that we have all the documents in the document checklist, I guess they do this to make things easier for the concerned visa office, although it has made it hard for us considering we might have to send the documents to CIO in case they request for additional documents.. but yea .. as per your enquiry.. its going to be the visa office in ur country who would be responsible for issuing medical request, PPR and visa and they are the once who does the background check.. cheers
