It's June and I have not received any update form CIC :'(
Their last update was about asking for additional documents in December 2012 and nothing else.

There is no change on my online application status since December:

We received your application for permanent residence on February 24, 2012.
We started processing your application on December 10, 2012.
Medical results have been received.

One month ago, I sent an email for asking them to check if they have received the requested documents. Here is the answer:

Dear Sir/Madam,
Thank you for your message concerning your application for permanent residence.
Your file has been transferred to this office in Ottawa for processing. It will be reviewed by one of our officers, with priority given to applications that were received at CIC before 1 September 2011.

Our office has received the following documents:

-...
-...

Medical results: Please note that we will be requesting an extension of the validity of these results, to minimize the number of applicants who will be required to undertake new medical examinations.

Case status:
An officer will be in contact with you in due course. In the meantime, we would ask for your patience and for you not to send follow-up requests for status to our office, unless you fall into one of the categories listed below.
... (and a time table which shows I had to receive an update by end of May!

I have sent them another email yesterday and mentioned their time table and asked to check my status. No answer yet!

I sent them the table on 29th May, and their reply was very standard, that your app is under processing, visa officer will contact you, please keep yur comm to minimum and other standard stuff.


I believe they reviewed your app in Dec, 2012, did you apply for GCMS, anything special in your notes

prabz, i can recall that someone in some blog had similar issue. They ended up calling (n emailing) CIC and found that it was sent to them as Passport request considering them from Visa exempt country. CIC corrected its mistake and then sent them PPR. Did you have any communication with CIC (or GCMS notes) after you received sending copy of passport request?

Hi canam, we got our GCMS notes in the counterfoil required section its written NO
we are not from visa exempt country also in notes its written they have received
our copies of passport I am confused?

I have no idea whats going on, I just send cppo explaining them about whats on the GCMS about counterfoil

@ Prabz .... When did you email them about the discrepancy on your counter foil requirement in GCMS notes? I guess you got your PPR on March 15, 2013 itself! If you have informed them a while ago and haven't received a reply, I would suggest you to email them with a scanned copy of your GCMS notes (if possible highlight the field). Choose a subject field appropriately (e.g. visa requirement query).

Hi edmontonbound, I send them attached copy of GCMS and also wrote that y my counterfoil is no, lets c if I get any reply?
I dont think it was PPR because my ecas is still in process.... I hate this feeling

Nothing special on my GCMS.
Right now they replied my email by the standard one:

Dear Madam / Sir,

Your application is in process. No further action is required by you at this time.
An immigration officer will be in contact with you if any further correspondence is needed.
We thank you for your patience and for keeping your correspondence to a minimum.

I am Feb / March 2012 applicant, I will wait upto 21 June as in my GCMS its said that VO will look at my file around that time

i dont know what to say but i got to the point that i have nightmare every night about getting the email from them, i am getting into the month # 18, i dont know what to do else, any body knows an applicant who has the same timeline and got the PPR soon?
