First of all congrats Pari that atleast they started working on ur file....Secondly I suggest you to apply for your fingerprints as well if u r in canada as it takes 3-4 days to be processed by ottawa(u go to RCMP center,,,they will send it to ottawa for criminal record check) and then u will get it in a week and then u are able to send it to immigration...This is just a piece of advise rest all yours buddy....

as in my case firstly they asked me to send my wife's PCC and once they recevied it..they just sent me another request to provide them fingerprints!!!

But nyways Gud luck to u.....hope they dont ask u for the same...but if u get it ready it will handy for u...

Hey, did you do PCC before you moved to Canada? If you have that include it and send India's response to CIC. I've bn in Canada for 7 years too and did not submit PCC from my home country.

I think you should tell the CIC that India's response, or you ask India PCC from you born untill you left India.

About the fingerprints if you guys do it at commissinaires, it is way faster as its electronic way to send it to the RCMP headquarters in Ottawa electronically, the person who did it for me said that its already in Ottawa. so you guys dont need to wait for a week

the actual time is that Ottawa headquarter takes to match your fingerprints with all the criminals in canada which may take 72 hours thats what i heard.... good luck

In your email was the "ORIGINAL" word bolded by the officer who sent email for fingerprints and PCC???

Hi Pari, first of all Congratulations for your PR… this is good news and this news give me fresh oxygen to my hope…I am very happy.
For your India PCC, Just got VFS Canada . com and download the for for PCC and go to VFS office… India will you PCC that for sure whatever the year ago you was there doesn’t matter (not sure for time line)

Pari, you wont get PCC from your country, reason: you have to live at a place for 1 year to be eligible to get PCC.

take it easy, read the email, in the bottom it gives you a link, if you go to the link, its clearly mentioned that if you are in Canada, submit your finger prints to RCMP Ottawa and that will do it, you dont need PCC from your home country, you can always explain to CPP-O the reason for not giving the PCC

i used commissionaire in B.C., the cost was 56 bucks.You can try googling the fingerprinting office in your area...

the next step will be to wait for PPR, that takes i dont know forever, even after you get PPR, sending the PP and getting it back is taking like 6 weeks, so I will say realistically everything will take atleast 3 to 4 months and by judging our luck i wont be surprised if it takes more time..

Instead of waiting 6 weeks to get PP back from Ottawa, is it possible to walk in there and get it stamped same day as i heard it... anybody heard this thing is it possible?

yes I am in canada,,,and I never left canada since I applied for my permanent residency...Also I gave them initially my fingerprints but that was from local police headquater not from RCMP...

Just wondering is there ny other procedure !!!

Commissionaires is the best, fastest option as far as i know, read my other posts
