I recently had the same issue on my file...i contacted CIC call centre( from canada) they said please dont use E-Cas update link as it wont go to your file. If you are outside Canada there s a separate process, and inside canada separate process to update your address...you can also call CIC call centre and update address by stating your EP file number, B- Paper file number.

But if you see Address in Ecas with Update Address link dont update it. the below link is what i got....but the issue in updating address online is once you update your addresss you will not be able to check your status in E-Cas online there after...reason i m saying is at the time of submitting your address change it asks us to accept removing ability for me or anyone to check status onilne...without checking that field it dont update your address... something i am not understanding really if you follow this link. My advice is call CIC and check with them...that will for sure help you get clarity.

After sending GCMS Notes through email, do you get automatic reply? In my case, I get no reply for confirmation of receiving my request. Is this usual?

you dont get any acknowledgement for that...after 3-4 working weeks you will get the notes as PDF to your email if you have requested it electronically or they will send you a post to your the mailing address..
