My WP is expiring in July n I hv already applied for renewal ... But I m afraid tht wht if I don't receive new WP before the expiration of this one ... Someone has any idea what happens if that'd be the situation ?

You'll need to leave on july when your current WP expires and wait for DM and PPR in your home country

I thought there is something called IMPLIED STATUS.

Wrong info !!!!!

You can continue to work until a decision is made on ur WP on implied status , condition being u can't leave country n come back

Hello Everyone,

I am so frustrated with what is happening with my PR application. I am Nov 2013 applicant and turned IP feb 2015. I phoned CIC last week to know about the status and the agent said call then again if I dont receive anything until April 15th and since nothing heard from them I phoned them again and the agent said she cannot give update as my application has no update. She said that she sent an email to the processor and they will give me update within one week up to 90days. If I dont receive anything until July 15 which is the 20th month of my application, she told me to call them again.. I feel so frustrated Sad Sad Sad
Does anyone with the same situation?

I think we are all in the same boat... December 27th applicant; called CIC Last week and the agent told me that my medicals were extended; that those ones get extended when they are about to reach a final decision on the file. She also said my file looks great, that they dont need anything else from me and that my file is just waiting for a dacision to be made; but nothing until today. I was hoping to see DM on my ECAS, or maybe receive the PPR e-mail; but nothing yet.

Its quite frustrating that people that applied on january 2015 have already decision made and PPR; yet the ones from 2013 & 2014 are stil waiting for news without having updates at all.

I share your frustration and your impotence; sometimes I just want to send everything to hell and apply for immigration on Nee Zeland or Australia; where immigration is easier and faster... As one of my friends told me when he got rejected: "Canada is not the only country that needs immigrants".

So we can just wait and see if this guys actually get their arses to work and stop been lazy and burocratic. LOL

I called CIC today... The agent told me that my medicals, which were expired on March 4th, were extended by request of CIC.

She also told me that my file was standing like this:

Elegibility: Passed
Medicals: Passed
Security: Passed
Criminality: in progress, started on march 2015.

She told me criminality checks usually doesn't take as long as security ones, that after they are done with criminality my file will be moved to the desicion making and finalizing of the PR process...

Just wanted to share with you... Kinda gives me some hope, tho... Noticing that in my last GCSM notes security and criminality were blank.

My application is from October, not December, but I wanted to let you guys know that I got my CoPR only a couple of weeks ago. You might too, soon.

Mine is currently 14 months since I made the application. Last time I called CIC, I was told they are waiting for my medicals to be extended before any final decision is made since all background checks have been completed. The question now is when will the medical be extended?
