Hey guys,

I'm January applicant, following this thread and hoping to get IP after you guys.
I have a problem with my employer and need your advise, my employer sold the store where I worked (without further notice) and I was mean to work for the new employer, but I refused since I have pnp and work permit with my old employer. So I was begging them to take me back and put me in other location, which they did, but it's veeeery from my place and they require me to work more than 50 hrs a week and paying for 40 only, I feel so depressed. I was thinking what should I do... may be I can continue to work with the new employer if they are willing to support me thru pnp process would it result any delays? Just don't know how to wait these last months...

Hi Vicki,

what is your province? is it Alberta? and you got your nomination under employer driven or not? if so when is you wp will expire from your old employer?? if your wp is still valid with your old employer i think there is no any problem at all if you will be working on the new employer as long as it is the name of the business (im not referring to their legal name) same location etc...

Hi Guys,

I am an early January applicant still waiting for IP, when I filed for the provincial nomination in September I filled up the forms until September, but submitted the application to cic in late December with same information i filled out in September, Is there a chance they will ask for background info for those three months i took to submit my application to cic? I'm worried as this can delay the processing time and if they do ask for background info, by how many days would the application be delayed?

they might ask, because there suppose to be no gaps in your background, for example in my case they did ask, when I sent imm 0008 i missed one month and they requested the new form to be submitted.

Dont know when late December 2013 and early Jan 2014 applications will get IP the wait is agonizing, I fail to understand what pattern cic is following to process the applications

Hi there, Just to let you know, I changed my job twice. First time, it was 20 days before getting IP and second time I changed my job 2-3 days after DM and I have already got PPR email. But since CIC is getting strict day by day, my personal advice on your situation is that since you are close to IP, just wait till you get DM and then you may do whatever you want. Although, I don't think it will be a problem if you change your employer but not category (like I got PNP as a highway truck driver and all the jobs I that changed were as a highway truck driver only) Good Luck!

i have a question, is it ok to exit/border in Vancouver even if we were from Alberta? for it is so hard to travel by land in Montana for we have a baby,any inputs guys..
