Sure.

We applied to CIO, NS initially about the 26th of March 2014 but our papers were returned 3 weeks later because we did not include a document (that should have read NA). We re-applied and they received on the 29th of April. We received AOR on the 10th of June.

Our returned papers were sent back promptly because we used our sponsor's addy. That helped a great deal!

Thanks for your reply, guess I should expect AOR towards the end of July or 1st week in August then

Just making sure this thread doesn't die.

Our expectations shall not be cut short in Jesus Name, we would receive positive updates soon.

Hello guys its been awhile. i just have to respond so this thread wont die o. xtreme tanx for reminding me via ur PM, i am still hoping in God for PPR from accra since march after my medicals. why i actually left the forum was becos i got frustrated when i checked application processing times in accra from when ur docs leave CIC NS and lands in their office in accra it will take a maximum of 17months for ur case to be closed minus the period u have waited for ur first application in cic ns, meanwhile with the recent outbreak of ebola virus in nigeria i just hope this doesnt delay the process by saying those dat have done their medicals dey should go bck for another medical. anyway this is not to make u guys loose hope becos everyones case is different, but if the website says 17 months then what can i say? keep faith guys and go about ur daily activities. from time to time i ll be checking the forum and also to share my good news with u guys hopefully. stay blessed

Dear lilbro,

Please expect your PPR now and not in many months!

There are many people on this forum that received theirs within 2/3 months of Medicals. The delay of 2013 was because of the long strike.

Have you done Accra a subtle reminder? Have you checked ECAS for 'medical received'?

Ebola will be sorted at the point of entry (if at all).

I eagerly await your good news in Jesus name!

I expect an email every monday from AVO at the end of the day I get so heart broken when I don't get a response. My ecas shows medicals received, I have also sent them a gentle reminder email, and the responded dat my application is being process and on queue, my question is if my application is processed how long for heavens sake will it be on queue? What else does accra visa office want again and why d delay? My soul and spirit don dey Canada since 3months back. My body just dey rove here infact am not focused with anything am doing here in naija anymore. Pls did u say in this forum people from Nigeria using AVO got their PPR within 2-3 months? Wow!

Yes lilbro. Many applicants received PPR after Medicals in 2/3 months especially in 2012 and before the strike in 2013. Those that have lived in a few other countries I think experienced some delays. But generally it could be anything between a month and six months after Medicals. Pls look at the thread from the beginning.

Please be encouraged! You're so close to the end.

We also submitted to CIO without my IELTS. In fact I didn't sit for the exam. My hubby as the principal applicant did. The doc checklist is specific about IELTS for the principal applicant only. No worries at all.

Ok. @chosen which strike happened in 2013?

I know exactly how you feel lilbro, its disheartening but i know very soon all this immigration issues would be a thing of the past, just like you waited for the nomination certificate and it has now been relegated to the past.

I pray this month brings us the much expected positive good news. Don't loose faith bro, its closer that you expect, don't worry about the virus.

Regards

Visa officers in many countries were on strike for about 4 months last year. I think it was called off in September. It caused processing delays in many of the Canadian visa offices.

Hello house,

Greetings to everyone and I pray for the virtue of "patience" for us as we all wait for one update or the other. God will open His floodgate of surprises to us IJMN.

After submitting my CIC application May 5th, it took 57 days to get AOR. RPRF and MR came August 6 and 7 respectively and we did the medicals at Consultants Practice August 9. Thanks so much for the wise words, prayers and support.

Cheers,

Ofis
