HELLO ALL
i want to know that we are so confused due to ielts score.plz plz if someone really understand my question answer me plz...........actually i have discuss this issue on forum before but my lawyer is making me double minded the problem is that my sister wants to apply with arranged employment and she is scoring 67 points without ielts as she got basic level in ielts...means less than 5.5 , less than moderate..it is only basic level english....but my lawyer was again and again saying that it will cause no problem as they only concern with ur total score that shoud be 67...there is no particular requirement for ielts score....i told him that i got many suggestions on this forum from many people that it is not sufficient...but he is saying that as he is a lawyer and he knows that 5 or 4.5 band will be ok if u have 67 points
plz plz plz plz plz plz pzl help me what should i do with my sister case as lawyer was saying that i m giving u 100% guarantee that ielts will cause no problem...4.5 is ok
plz pzl pzl pzl give me sensior advice...is the lawyer really true...is 4.5 band really work

Dear Anayya,

as far i know they immigration Canada, they are focusing IELTS score too much. i have read in this forum case officer refused one application as he didnt have enough english score.( I think one applicant whose noc was Vocational teacher). but still everything depends on the case officer and my suggestion is that please try to get good score in Ielts and apply.

If she has already got 67 points then there is no issue .... she has has basic level of english language thats an additional benefit ..... Strong English skills are only required if her profession would require alot of public interaction like Medical or teaching ...... but your lawyer is right ... if she has got 67 eithout English then dont waste time

67 points are ok but there will always be problem with 4.5 bands. she has to improve now a days VO is definitely checking fr score.

National Occupation Classification (NOC) by the code 2253. Among the duties and responsibilities identified by your prospective employer for the job
being offered to you are: "Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, develop and prepare design sketches,
complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets, check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data, write technical reports, prepare contracts and tender documents, prepare construction specifications, costs and material estimates."

English is identified on the AEO as the required language of your prospective employment. You have provided an IELTS test report form which indicates that you have moderate proficiency in English speaking and reading, and basic proficiency in English listening and writing. The job being offered to you requires you to be able to develop designs and drawings from other information as well as to complete documentation packages, write reports, and prepare contracts and cost and material estimates. Where it appears reasonable to expect that clear communication and understanding would be
necessary for efficient business operations, the ability to communicate in English at only a basic or moderate level appears to be a serious impediment
to your being able to perform the duties of the job offered to you in Canada.

As it appears that you may not have the English language proficiency which would enable you to carry out the possible employment in Canada, you
consequently do not appear to satisfy the conditions in Regulation 82 for obtaining points in the factor of arranged employment.

Before I make a final decision, you may submit additional information relating to this assessment. You must provide any additional information
within sixty days from the date of this letter. If you choose not to respond with additional information I will make my decision based on the information
before me, which may result in the refusal of your application.

plz do some english courses b4 next exam as i am doing on 4 or 4.5 there is no immigration now a days good luck

it's an implicit law that immigrants are expected to be able to communicate in English well. a basic english is just not good enough, and could be a ground for denial.

but if some one applies under noc code 1221 administarive officer then is 4.5 or 5 not enough?
my lawyer is saying that my sis can apply better under noc 1221 but in my view her job duties area is also similar to noc 1211 supervisors,general officers and administrative support clerks
for noc 1221 or 1211 both need what type of ielts
