hey everyone,
i just wanna ask about IELTS band.what band is recommended for PR.i am from pakistan and did apply for PR under family stream.now CIC asked me to submit my IELTS score,but i am a bit confused that what band is required? plz reply

They dnt set any bar for IELTS bands, but try to get at-least 6 band, its also depend on ur job if u have job offer, otherwise i know some cases in which 5 bands also work, i get ur email as well, just tell me in which part of IELTS u r facing problem. i will help you for sure, tc

In family stream 5 or 5+ bands of GT IELTS r good.

They did set a bar of having minimum of Canadian Language Benchmarks (CLB) 4 or higher English Language ability across all 4 categories (listening, speaking, reading, and writing),if you do not have an offer of employment or if your offer of employment falls into a NOC of C or D.

7. Language Credentials
You must provide valid English language test results from a language test administered
by a federally designated testing agency showing a minimum of equivalent of CLB 4 in
all categories. The acceptable tests include:
International English Language Testing Systems (IELTS) with minimum scores
of:
o Listening – 4.5
o Reading – 3.5
o Writing – 4
o Speaking – 4
Canadian English Language Proficiency Index Program (CELPIP) with
minimum scores of:
o Listening – 2H
o Reading – 2H
o Writing – 2H
o Speaking – 2H
Test d'evaluation de francais (TEF) with minimum scores of:
o Listening – 145
o Reading – 121
o Writing – 181

This means they have started to work on your file like back ground check,criminal check ,medicals etc.

how are you. i need to ask one thing that how much ILETS result band required?? as my case is in CHC london and they ask me to provide me latest IELTS test i already have given test before but i think it has expired after 2 year.so MY catergory is AINP FAMILY STREAM. RECENTLY I APPEARED IN TEST GOT 5 BAND OVERALL. ALSO MY SPOUSE GOT 5. WHAT SHOULD I DO? RETAKE TEST AGAIN????
plz help.
