Hello everyone....
I m march 2013 applicant & waiting to some gud news frm cic since last 10 months but today morning my lawyer called as she received email from cic.
In the email they mentioned that VO is not satisfy with my job duties (my NOC 6311) & i have to prove my job duties accordingly.my lawyer files the same job reference letter with same duties for my friend & he receive the medicals last month.I think i m just unlucky
2nd thing they ask to prove my marriage as i add my wife in the month of july after i gets married.
So plz help me forum members what i can provide to proof this two things
As I already start collecting things concerning this teo issues

But i knw the help suggestions what i will get from this forum will be means a lot to me to prepare myself.

Hi There,

I am not sure what profession you are in, but a colleague of mine who works for IT had this situation where CIC was not convinced with his job letter and asked him for more proof. He obtained a reference letter from the client he works for and that was accepted. He was in IT. Try something similar. Regarding adding your spouse... if you have done that after sending initial application chnaces are things will be delayed for you. Another friend of mine was in same situation and including the spouse delayed things for him by 4months. So do not panic, try to obtain more proof about your work. Most importantly make sure your letter covers all the details they asking for in the checklist, even one thing missing can delay processing or can cause rejection. I dont want to sacre you, just be watchful

I am working in restaurant as food service supervisor nocB 6311.Yes i added my wife on later stage but today they ask me to proof my marriage & i have submitted my marriage certificate earlier so gathering all otg documents to prove.

did you include job duties in your original letter? if so, please share the duties listed in the letter and we may give some suggestions based on that.

If no duties mentioned at all, you just simply require your employer to include them in.

Yes i do mention my job duties ....right now i dont have the reference letter soon i will post it over here to share with you.

Can you post the email from CIC?

Because if they are asking you to submit a more detailed letter, that is your only option. Because I hate to tell this, but NOC 6311 (Food Service Supervisors) - has been cut off and no longer eligible for CEC.

This refers to your application for permanant residence in canada.Please note that your file is in process and will continue to be processed at the CPP Ottawa office.I am writing you this letter to express my concerns regarding your application.

I am not satisfied that you meet the job experience declared in your application : Food Service Supervisor NOC 6311 .I am not satisfied that you perform the main duties required to under NOC 6311.These duties are supervise,direct and co-ordinate the activities of workers who prepare ,portion and serve food.Additionally , I request you send us proof of relationship for you and your spouse.
Therefore i am asking you to submit any additional information or documentation that would allay my concerns.You have 30 days from the date of this letter to submit additional information to the above address.

Please ensure that you quote your file number indicated at the top of this letter on any information you submit.If you choose not to respond with additional information or documentation or if your submission does not allay my concerns your application may be refused.

Ok, I see the problem now. I would not be surprised you got caught, it seems your letter was copied and pasted from NOC description.

Here is the job description from NOC:

Food service supervisors perform some or all of the following duties:•Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule the activities of staff who prepare, portion and serve food
•Estimate and order ingredients and supplies required for meal preparation
•Prepare food order summaries for chef according to requests from dieticians, patients in hospitals or other customers
•Establish methods to meet work schedules
•Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage
•Train staff in job duties, and sanitation and safety procedures
•Supervise and check assembly of regular and special diet trays and delivery of food trolleys to hospital patients
•Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
•May participate in the selection of food service staff and assist in the development of policies, procedures and budgets
•May plan cafeteria menus and determine related food and labour costs.

The forum has discussed many times that DO NOT use exact wording which would be prone to red flag. this is where your issue exist.

Honesly, i am not sure how to justify and convince the VO you actually fulfilled the duties (not trying to be bad).

You would best discuss with your lawyer as you mentioned that he/she prepared the letter, right? he/she should be responisble for it.

Alternatively, if I were you, I would re draft the letter with the wording similar to what you have now but try to use the terms different to the NOC description. But beware of this as it would raise another concern if the updated one looks different to what you provided to confuse the VO.

Chat with lawywer firstly and then take actions asap.

Furthermore, as you mentioned that your colleagues got MR with same letter, I would have to say that it really depends on the VO, some are loose hand and some are not, and your colleagues are too luckily, by copying and pasting the word, the chances to fail is very high in general.

Mines is under review required .its been 14 months
And i am still waiting
