Hi I am vidya. My sister has H1 status in USA. She wanna apply for PR in Canada. We are not aware about the steps to be taken. Kindly provide detailed steps to be followed to apply for PR status in CAnada. Thank you in advance

She's need to apply through one of Canada's immigration programs. There is no special stream for H1 applicants, she has to qualify through the same programs as everyone else. ask your sister to find an immigration lawyer either where she lives now or in canada. when you apply for first time , its always better to go through a lawyer. they will charge you money but its worth paying for. if you need any help contact me. i live in canada

I don't agree that it's "always better to go through a lawyer". Actually, I think most people who apply to immigrate to Canada do it on their own. A lawyer is sometimes needed in complicated cases where there is criminality for example..
