Hi there,

You dont have to show 2nd year fees. As long as you have 1 year fees and GIC money, they should approve you.

CIC cares about you who can cover the tuition fees and the cost of living. If you cant cover it, they may reject your study permit or give the short study permit. Some students showed their fund which can cover only one year tuition with 2 years course , it turned out that they got only one year study permit. That's very common. If you dont want to extend ur study permit in the futre, it's ok to show only your GIC. However, you want to get longer study permit, you are better to show extra financial support or prof. Good luck

Hi Dental, in my case, i want to study a 2 year program, the total cost is CAD$22,800+10,000 living expenses + travel ticket CAD$600 = CAD$33,400

My question is what would be the MINIMUM fund that i have to show to guarantee the study visa ?
