hi there,
i have applied visitor visa at sydney canadian visa office, so the websites shows approx 14 working days to process TRV at sydney. so far its been 12 working days i have not got any response back. i applied visa to attend my frnds convocation ceremony which will take place on 11th june tuesday,
unfortunately i have no any response from visa office about my visa decision. i sent them a email yesterday and they just replied that my passport still remains at visa office.
so do you think they will decline my visa if they process my application on 11th june or after the 11th june(convocation ceremony date) just to say that they have not got enough time to process my visa and convocation ceremony has been over on 11th. ????

hello Samsaini

I have applied for my mother's visa TRV at Singapore and they said exactly 14 working days, they woun't respond any query bofore that.
Last time when she got visa, passport was released exactly on 14 working days.

I guess yours is more than 14 now? hope you got it already or will get in a day or two...let us know the outcome...thanks

its been almost 14 working days so far and the reason i applied this was to attend a frnds convocation in canada on 11th june. still waiting for mail everyday to get my passport back with their decision. now i think they gonna refuse my application for visa because i cant be there to attend convocation anymore.if they does thn it will be completely ridiculous decision to refuse visa to say that they could not process my visa before 11th june.

yes its stupid. even we cant ask them whats going on. My application was submitted on 23rd may but still no response. They just need a excuse to refuse visas. I had to attend convocation on 11th but they didnt process my visa before that and now they got a excuse to decline. Honestly its not acceptable at all.

When I applied from Sydney office, they had same day processing when you submit documents in person.

HI samsaini,

don't worry its depend of luck your luck is not with you this time apply next time make a good plain and get a visa,
if your case is strong and have a good travel history i don't think there is any problem of get the visa.
what was the reason for refusal ?

my visa has been refused for 2
reasons. 1st is immigration status.
which means i am not
permanant resident yet. 2nd is
purpose of visit. which could be
because of time as they
processed my visa on 12th and i
had to attend convocation on
11th in canada. so i have to get p.r in nz to get visa easily
