Please Respond Bucharest

Hi. My wife got the Letter that is requiring from her to send the Passport and 2 Photos to the Canadian Embassy in Bucharest. She did, but she used the address from IMM7106E which is a skilled workers document and the address is:

The Canadian Embassy
Immigration Section
36 Nicolae Iorga Street, Sector 1
71118 Bucharest
Romania

Then a courier that she knows told her that she has another address for the Canadian Embassy in Bucharest and confused us. So now I'm so scared. Please, please tell me that everything is going to be alright with this address.

I think the correct address is:

1-3, Tuberozelor St,
011411, Bucharest , Sector 1
Romania

Is it OK or we are going to have some kind of a trouble ?

I really don't trust a lot the Romanian post office, I didn't get any mail since I am living here, last november, I suppose to get a few Christmas carts form Canada and Switzerland but I didn't, they got lost somewhere on the roud... :-\

Hope this important letter will not get lost in the same way...

Yes, Bucharest is my VO, where my wife's PR application has been since the 15th of December.

Hey torroloco,

Finaly I see the second person who is waiting along with me!

I am a wife like your wife waiting here and I am quite anxious to have the final decision made.

CIC it's quite a mystery at times.

I know that after the sponsorhip our file was sent to Ottawa first for be created a new file and only after it was sent to Bucharest.

Our file got in the sistem in Bucharest only in the midlle of the January for the reasons that I don't know much about, so now I am waiting for the final decision, or it's going to be the visa or it's going to be the interview.

Much more than that I cannot tell you becouse it's all I know. It's been more than 8 months of waitng and to tell you the truth I am quite sick of this waitning.

I will keep you posted if I will have other news.

Wish you all the best and a less painfull wait for your wife, it's not always easy, I know for sure.

I don't mind at all (although it's painful when I think of it)

Since the application arrived in Bucharest I have heard absolutely nothing from them. We sent them a couple of emails regarding the address in eCAS and they didn't respond. We then sent a friend (properly authorized) to inquire on our behalf but she got nothing other than that they have the application (which we knew from the Canadian call center. I find it frustrating not knowing so my next step is to request the CAIPS notes. But even that takes almost 2 months (
Plus I think in a couple of months the medicals will expire ((((

Hey Torro,

Sorry to hear that Bucharest keeps you in the dark for so long... .

I know how frustrating is when CIC gives you very vag answers to your questions... :-\.

In our case I would say we were more lucky, Bucharest answerd me very quicklly every time I send them an email, last news I had from them it was on 1th March when they confirmed that our file is in Bucharest and no paper missing but the CSQ which I send it by email right away.

If you don't have answers from them I don't know what to say,maybe it's becouse you are requesting this answers, maybe will be a good idea for your wife send an email equiring about the file, after all it's her immigration file and not yours, well, I am not sure this it's the problem but it seems very logic.

As for likeadog postes, I would like as well for him to share his timelines, but after all is his choice to remain more private and I don't see anything wrong in that.

Hope for you to have an answer soon and considering your wife's medicals will expire in a few months I guess you are going to have new very soon.

Hey guys sorry for the late response. Here is my timeline.

We received your application to sponsor **** ****** on November 21, 2011.

We started processing your application on January 20, 2012.

We sent you a letter on January 20, 2012 about the decision on your application.

We received **** ******'s application for permanent residence on November 21, 2011.

We started processing **** ******'s application on March 3, 2012.

Medical results have been received.

She received a letter dated 5th of March to send her passport to the Embassy in bucharest. She sent them the passport on march 19th and now we are waiting for them to return it and hopefully with a Visa in it.
