Please reply ASAP : Regarding Child Citizenship application

Me and my wife want to apply for canada citizenship ( we have lived 1150 Days in Canada ) and my kid ( now 6 years ) is US born and we applied for her PR in March 2019 but still her case shows " in process " my questions are

1) should one of us wait to apply for citizenship as kid's case is still processing ?

2) If we both apply for citizenship now , can we add her application later ( anyways now citizenship applications taking more than 1 year )

3) If in case if we both applied now and got citizenship before my kid gets her PR what is my Kid situation ? she never get citizenship later ?

4) If one of us alone apply and once my kid gets PR can I add my wife and kid's application along with my application ?

There's no "ADDING" people to your application after you've applied. Not like PR. If you both apply without her, she would likely have to wait until she's an adult and then submit an application. I think it's best for one of you to wait and apply with her.

1) This is up to you. You don't have to, but you can.

2) No, you need a separate application for her.

3) Doesn't change anything for the kid's PR application. She will be eligible for citizenship right when one of her parents is a citizen. So, you would be able to apply for her the day she gets her PR if you're a citizen already, or the day you or your spouse get the citizenship if she's a PR by then.

4) There's no adding to a citizenship application. The only way to add your kid once she's PR would be to withdraw your application and start again with her included. Which is not really what you'd want to do.

Also, side note : "please reply ASAP" in the title is not needed here. Your questions are not a matter of emergency and the people in this forum are not bound to respond in a certain timeframe... If you need an ASAP answer, you should direct your query to a paid professional.

Kids under 18 don't need to meet 3 year criteria, if they apply along with one of the eligible parent citizenship application. Let's assume your kid get's PR today, then she is eligible for citizenship immediately along with your application. But if you apply without her, then she has to wait for 3 years to apply on her own as a separate application (Assuming, your citizenship is not completed in near future. If you are a citizenship, of course, you can sponsor your kid anyway.)

Kids applying along with Parents process is called Subsection 5(2). Please check CIC website for more details.

How long do you think it will take to get PR to your kid? if it's just couple of Months, then it is better to wait for your citizenship application, since she will be eligible immediately, and can apply along with you without wasting another 3 years.

Thank you for your replies friends, I dont know still how long they take to process the application for PR, so at this point better one apply and secure the family to get citizenship then apply rest of them showing that one of the partner is citizen right?

Yeah I put ASAP because both me and my spouse application for citizenship packets are ready to be shipped , so I need an immediate answer for this, and I have an attorney helped me processing all my application and of course he charged very nominal , but lot of times people here has more knowledge than attorneys as they really experience the situations and have information from this forums , anyways really thank you for your response though !!

I am assuming your kid doesn't have the PR Status yet. So once it is approved and you get your citizenship, then you can apply for her using 5(2) and 3 years stay is not required.
