I sent my request 13 may.
Received by FBI 16 may.

Called FBI customer service today @ (304) 625-5590, not in their system yet, after 3 weeks.

I did get the chance to speak to that lady with the bad attitude. She does not have a knack for sugar-coating things for you. LOL

FBI request sent: 14th March 2011
request them that i will need them by april 10th, 2011
however received on 15th april,2011

I called again and got a much nicer rep. She said it's still processing, and that the 15th will be 8 weeks (they marked it received on May 20) and to call back early next week if I don't have it by then.

Just called FBI.. they received my application June 13th and told me the processing time is 8 weeks from that day (It was 6 weeks processing time when I sent it in.. >:( ) He can't tell me if the fingerprint is good/not. At least I know that they got the application..

Awor and Avila, did you receive your FBI certificate yet?

FINALLY got mine today! Took 9 weeks.

Mailed May 16
Don't know when received
Started processing on May 20
Card charged June 15
Received July 18

Grats!

Just a warning though if you haven't paid your fees....

We tried paying online and we had a hell of the time....two screw ups with the bank for one thing when trying to increase my hubby's credit limit by $40....And...when we finally got that straightened out...the website kept saying "Not approved" for his card...he tried a few times and got the same message each time....come to find out yesterday that the website DID charge his card...4 times as a matter of fact...We are going to try calling today for a $1500 dollar refund....but we are having terrible luck with all of this...So beware the "not approved" message if you are waiting to pay the fees last like us :(

I've heard about this problem. How did you get the receipt to include with the application? My husband is waiting for his next payday (he's got a giant car payment (sports car) and his insurance premium was due this month - ouch) to pay the fees and I'm hoping to figure out how to get that receipt if we do have a problem.

FBI rec'd my app 6/23. My credit card was charged 7/12. Still awaiting results but at least I know something is happening.

We had to phone the cic...they told us there was nothing they could do about it...he was charged $490, 490, 490 and 565.....we had to order a paper reciept to go pay at his bank and we have to wait until the charges show up on his card (another day or two) before he can dispute the charges with his credit card company. Then in about 5 buisness days when we hopefully recieve the paper reciept...we can pay the fees...We're both pretty furious...everything that could possibly go wrong for us has...And I have had enough of the cic...their website is terrible and screams to me "We don't give a ****". We don't have any kind of reciept for the transactions and the cic told us there wasn't a way of getting one...so we have to get all the charges dropped and try again.

I debatiing just sending in more fingerprints...because at the rate we are going...and the delays we keep running into....I will probably need one anyway.

Still waiting for my FBI...
I just checked their website and I couldn't find their processing time anywhere!!! Did they take it down?? I hope they're not going to increase it by a lot!

This FBI thingy and my ontario marriage certificate (I can't believe it's taking them 8 weeks just to register it!) are the only two things holding me back.. Hurry up now!!

As of July 28: Note: Although the FBI employs the most efficient methods for processing these requests, processing times may take approximately eight weeks depending on the volume of requests received.

Ha! Thanks, Awor.. Somehow I missed that. I was getting really scared that they're going to increase the processing time to something ridiculous. phew.

When I sent mine off, it said 6 weeks... then about 4 weeks in, it changed to 8 weeks, and I finally got it at 9 weeks. Not really that much longer but enough to make my impatience level reach new heights lol

My FBI certificate arrived today!!
I mailed in the app June 10.
They received it on June 13.
Letter was dated 30 July, and search was complete 21 July.

So, all in all it took exactly 8 weeks since I mailed the app until receiving it.
