Please if some body can help me
i applied under the skilled worker program on 6/2004 in buffalo NY
then i got my file number on 3/2005
they sent me a letter that an interview would be required and they will notify me when
since then i've been waiting and waiting
i've sent the CIC many e-mails and the answer is always :We have requested background information from other government offices(s). Unfortunately, we cannot provide a date when the processing of your application will be complete( although i submitted FBI clearance from USA and background clearance from home)

does it take that long, i lost my status in the USA and i need to go home as my mom is sick
Please help,i can't wait any longer it's almost 5 years

It shouldn't take that long. Something must have gone wrong with your file. Since they didn't flat our refuse you, they must still be processing, waiting for information from somewhere.

i tried many times to get more details but i always get the same answer like somebody just cuts and pastes the answer

Order the CAIPS notes. The notes may give you a better understanding. Search in this forum for how to order them, or google CAIPS. I think it will cost you about $35-40 and takes about 30 days.

No, the background checks start with the approval of the application. If the IO thinks that the background checks are going to take a while, then they won't send the medical request as it is only valid for 1 year, and they don't want to have to process it a second time.

but my friend from different country was waiting almost 4 years, then he hot a letter from CIC that he doesn't have enough points because he didn't submit the english test
which was so weird as they never contacted him about anything missing!!!!!!!!
