Thank you so much rhcohen2014 and QuebecOkie.

Don't get mad on me for asking too many questions.

I would like to know which form to fill out for extending visitor visa and how much does it going to cost me. Even if I do outland application from Canada do I need to pay Right of Permanent Resident Fee early?

Thank you.
i don't know what the form is, though i'm sure you can do a search on these threads and get a link for it. or google the information. i've read it costs $100 to process.

it's recommended to pay the RPRF as early as possible to avoid delays. i did not pay it upfront, and plan to pay it soon when i can confirm my application has been received in ottawa. if you wait until it's requested, it can delay the issuing of your COPR.

Can I pay the RPRF after stage 1? Or is it consider late?

Thanks.
you can pay for it any time you want. a COPR won't be issued until it is. so the earlier in the process the better.

I've read that paying the RPRF up front, with the other fees, is more important for outland applicants, that they are more likely to experience delays than inland applicants who choose to pay it later. I can't tell you how true that is, though. I was an inland applicant, and I paid my RPRF on the day I got DM, and it didn't seem to delay my process at all.

Here's where you start to extend visitor status: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/visit/extend-stay.asp

I did mine after we submitted my application, and stated that I wished to stay with my husband in Québec for the duration of the PR application process. I requested and received a one-year extension.

NOTE: you will have to show how your partner will be supported during the time his visitor status is extended. I make mention of this because money seems to be a concern for you. You need to be able to show savings, or an income statement, or a family's income statement with a letter stating they are willing to support the two of you. Something to show your partner will have the means to live for the duration of the extension. We just sent a copy of my husband's pay stub with his year-to-date info, and that worked.

Hi,

If I am submitting outland application to London but living (both of us) in Canada, Do I need to submit police clearance certificate early?

If I apply for police clearance online, will they send me the result or to CIC.

For outland application they say upfront medical done. What are the documents do we need to take with us?

Please reply.

Thank you.

You can not obtain police certificate for your British clearance on line. Contact ACRO you can find the forms on line. They will post the certificate to you . It cost 45.00 pounds for 10 working days . You must include a recent colour passport photo and it has to be endorsed. also TWO PROOFS OF ADDRESS .To send it to Canada you are adding an extra 48.00 pound by courier or 9 pounds for international reg post. You have to send a photo copy of your passport and the funds has to be in pounds. If you need to call them they can be reached from outside of the U.K.. 44-1962-871111. Customer service # 0845 60 13 999 or email customer.services@acro.pnn.police.uk

Thank you taffy7,

They asking two proofs of address. Which I am not sure whether it is from Canada or UK. As we moved from UK four months ago. We do not have any mail in UK house address.

I would be able to provide our rental agreement which include his name in Canada. Is that enough?

I've sent them email but hasn't got reply back yet.

For the two photos, is it ok Canadian family friend to sign on the picture. They know him more than 2 years.

Thank you.

There is a huge list of people who can sign the from e.g. account, doctor dentist, someone who own their own business , banker school teacher . I am not near my paper work right now ,so go on the acro site and have a look.If you don't find it i will give you the list a bit later when i get back into the office. As for list of address you have no choice you will have to give your Canadian address . Do you have anything from the pass that has your old address on?

Thank you taffy7.

Yes, I'll give my previous address rental agreement. I'll enclose all documents and explain to them.

Thanks again.
