Hi,

I am in Canada with my spouse (british citizen). He came here with as a visitor but right now we are thinking to file spouse sponsorship. Is it better to apply as inland or outland application.

If I am going to apply outland how do I need to extend his visiting visa. We have one year old baby too but she is eligible for Canadian citizen as I am canadian citizen.

Please someone guide me.

I am seeking job to do but couldn't able to find anything yet. Will it effect my spousal sponsorship?

I am living with my parents and they are willing to support me until my husband get work.

It is likely to be MUCH faster if you submit an "outland" application for a British citizen, via London. He will have to request a visa extension as a visitor.

If I do inland application with open work permit. How long will it take. I am not able to find actual processing time yet.

I wouldn't mind waiting little bit longer but hesitating to file outland as we've moved here and not enough saving on our account. I've married him in Canada then went to UK.

There is no minimum income requirement for spousal sponsorship. So that is fine. Just do not go on welfare.

However, they do want some proof that you won't go on welfare after your husband is approved as well. You can have your parents write a letter to include in your application saying that you are living with them and that they will support you until you get on your feet.

If you do get a job while your application is being processed inform CIC about the change.

The INLAND times are below the outland times, so scroll down. It is currently at 10 months. So it will be 10 months before your husband gets an OWP. You are better off applying outland as zardoz said.

Let's just say if I apply inland application. How much do I need to pay for sponsorship and OWP? Could someone please let me know how many pictures do they need. As I've searched and couldn't find the same answer. Some says four and other says eight. Please reply.

As others have said, outland is the better option.

Outland through London is averaging around 7 months right now and many applicants are done faster than that. Compare that with inland, where it takes 10 months just to get 1st stage approval and the OWP, plus up to another 8 months to get PR. The OWP really shouldn't be a factor in your decision at all.

It's better to pay it up front. Otherwise CIC will request it later which can create some delays for your application. So pay now if you can.

If I am submitting outland application to London but living (both of us) in Canada, Do I need to submit police clearance certificate early?

If I apply for police clearance online, will they send me the result or to CIC.

For outland application they say upfront medical done. What are the documents do we need to take with us?

you only need your police record for the UK. This is a required document, and if it's not included in your package it will be considered incomplete. Applicants do not need to get Canadian police records. CIC will process that themselves.

when you call the doctor to make an appointment, confirm with them what you need. most doctors use the electronic system now, and will give you an "emedical" receipt at the end of your exam. this is an essential document needed for the application, as it's how you prove to cic you have completed the exam. the doctor enters your information into their system and the results are sent to cic. there are some doctors who dont use this system yet, and there is a specific IMM form they need you to bring. Again, the doctor will tell you what to bring. I believe all you need is your passport and possibly a passport sized picture. i can't remember if i brought a separate picture with me.

The police certificate must be included in your application packet. It has to be received by CIC within three months of the date it was issued, so keep that in mind when deciding when to request that from the UK. I don't know anything about UK police certificates, so I can't tell you anything about the timeline from request to receipt. Keep in mind, if he has lived anywhere outside of the UK (except Canada) for more than 6 consecutive months, anytime since his 18th bday, he will need a police certificate from that nation, as well.

You need to find a panel physician near you. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/inFORMation/medical/index.asp If there is more than one to choose from within a convenient driving distance, call all of them, as the price of an immigration medical exam can vary quite a bit from panel physician to panel physician. When you decide which doctor's office to use, speak with them and make sure to ask what you need to bring with you. Photos used to be a requirement, but I don't believe they're required now by doctors who use the e-medical system. He'll need his passport, for sure, and a lot of doctor's offices only accept cash payment. Best to confirm all of the details with the doctor's office when you book the appointment. You don't want to do that months and months in advance. The medical results are good for one year (after which CIC can choose to extend them or not, at their discretion), so you want to do the medical pretty close to the time when you plan to have the application packet complete and ready to send in.

I would like to know which form to fill out for extending visitor visa and how much does it going to cost me. Even if I do outland application from Canada do I need to pay Right of Permanent Resident Fee early?
