Hi
I am gonna apply for CEC under skill level 0. I started my job in June 2011. I am planning to go to India for 1.5 months in January. Is that will affect my application. Can I go in between my job or the obe year experience should be continuous, without any vacation.

Mona, the Canadian work experience requirement will be reduced to 12 months (from the present 24 months) to be effective 01 Jan 2013. Working in Canada since June 2011, you are way inside the line.

Moreover, still better if this 1.5 months vacation in Jan is a paid vacation (by your employer).

With regards to your question if the work experience should be without a break. The answer is NO.
You should have earned the required work experience in the last 36 months.

Queastion 1 : What it means by paid vacation?
Question 2 : what if someone has not completed a year, coz my friend wants to go India... But dhe started in May 2012. If she goes on a vacation for more than a month, is that could affect her application?

I heard about this, but don't know if its true. Perhaps it is !
But keep in mind, this may not apply to all who apply BEFORE this comes into effect. So Mona, you'll have to decide whether you want to apply now and perhaps not be included in the reduction in requirement or wait till Jan to be sure. I haven't read much into this yet, but usually rules changes apply to those application received after it goes into effect.

Paid vacation days are time off work an organization voluntarily provides employees as a benefit. (In your case will you be paid by your Canadian employer for 1.5 months that you go on leave? Or is it vacation without pay?). Your pay stub will evidence any period without pay.

Each province in Canada has different rules and regulations with regard to the amount of vacation pay and time each person can take. Every province in Canada entitles an employee to vacation time after working for 12 consecutive months of employment. The amount of time off an employer must grant their employees is two weeks in every province apart from Saskatchewan (which offers 3 weeks) and Quebec (which offers one day per month). Please note that there could be recent updates to this.

About your friend, will he/ she be even eligible for paid vacation of 1 month by the Canadian employer having joined in May 2012 ? Probably not and it will definitely have an impact on the minimum Canadian experience requirement for CEC.
