my husband got his sponsorship denied because of his criminal record...it was something misdermeanor and it's been 12 years now..how long it will take if we appeal do we have chances ??????

I'm not so sure your appeal will be successful. Why doesn't your husband simply apply for criminal rehabilitation?
 
I am so sorry to hear. When you sent the police report in and filled out the declaration form did you explain the conviction? and that it was over 12 years ago.

Based on OP's previous posts, even though the incident happened 12 years ago, the applicant did not ever do the community service that was sentenced with the conviction, so in the eye's of CIC may not have ever fulfilled the terms so the clock for rehabilitation may not be allowed to even start yet.

Thank you Rob_To. I was confused because i thought after 12 years you were rehabilitated,and didn't have to apply for rehabilitation. Depending on the crime of course.
 
It doesn't help that the sentence (community service) was to be performed in a country where the offender had no legal immigration status.
