Hi everyone,
I am not able to find a NOC code that perfectly matches my job.
My Job title is Reimbursement Specialist.
I am working for a patient assistance program at a pharmaceutical services company. Below is the position summary and job description on my job offer.
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for undertaking the management of specific projects or cases assigned to him/her with regards to reimbursement, within the Specialty Services department. The Reimbursement Specialist is responsible for overall management of their patient cases.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate and manage all aspects required in order to obtain prescription drug coverage for patients;
• Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician' offices and healthcare professionals in order to maximize reimbursement solutions;
• Coordinate documents, submissions and all related paperwork to insurance companies, public/federal funding programs;
• Implement Financial Means Test as required in an effort to maximize patient's prescription drug coverage
• Coordinate pharmacy processes required once funding has been obtained; and
This position requires post-secondary education.
Originally I was thinking of NOC 4212 or NOC 1243. My employer does not use the NOC system so HR is unable to help me out. I emailed the information above to HRSDC and the corresponding NOC code they provided to me is NOC 1312 and NOC 1313. I think NOC 1312 is more relevant among the two but I am not sure if this is the right one for my job.
P.S. I have a Bachelor degree from an university in Canada.
Please advise if you have any thoughts or suggestions.
Thank you very much for your assistance!
