Hey
I'm flying on 29th from delhi to toronto, jet airways.
Got the stamp on pp. However, On the letter from CIC, it said " i will be directed to immigration officer and he/she will ensure my eligibility and then permit will be issued"
My question is:
1. What the immigration officer will look for?
2. what are all the documents i need to show to him?
3. Is any-other important thing i need to consider/take-with-me before i leave India?
Many Thanks

don't worry at all..
they will not put you in jail.. this is the routine procedure that most of the international student will face at the arrival airport. this procedure is framed by the CBA to insure the security of the Canada and Canadian border and to eliminate any of the risk to Canadian security. got my point.
they will/can ask you about your student visa bcz you are going on student visa.. they will not check your academic knowledge in your field.
so be ready with these docs.
1. Letter of acceptance from Coll./ Uni
2. Passport (original) and Air ticket.
3. your coll. / uni name , course, duration, department, contact no
4. about ur finance ,, who is financing/supporting your study in Canada with hard copy evidence like loan letter and/or GIC, tuition fee receipt, A/c statements (if any), or others..
5. if possible arrange the photocopies of ur all previous qualifications .. 10th, 12th, diploma, degree etc..
6. if taking medicine as a backup until u got student health card in Canada .. take a prescription letter from doctor (Min. MBBS) and original bill of medicines
7. some articles are not allowed and u must check CBA website (Canada Border Agency) for latest updates what u can carry and what you can't carry with you.. highly recommended..
8. your any ID proofs like PAN CARD, VOTING CARD, DRIVER LICENSE, BIRTH CARD, ADAHAAR CARD or any valid Identity proof.
if you need then i can send you (pre-departure checklist) for your convenience & post-landing checklist which will help you lot.
may be lots of things could be skip from my side in mentioning there,, have any confusion ,,, kindly ask me and it will be my pleasure to assist you..
cheers and have safe journey..
