Your answers appear correct but be careful with Question 6. B) For example if you have any children from a previous relationship or any family members who are dependent on you they should be listed here. For page 2 you should write "none" for all the Question 5 parts and "not applicable" for the detailed answer to question 6 A) and "none" for question 6 B) if that is the case.

Should dependent children of the sponsor be included in question 6B if they are also Canadian citizens? (Ours is a common-law spousal outland application). Thanks,

Yes they should. Form 5481 is for the evaluation of the sponsor.

The form IMM5481 say if sponsor has dependent of his or her own dont use IMM5481. Instead we need to use IMM1283 along with IMM5482. Is it correct?? let me know? thanks

Hi Namgyal,
No, that's not correct. If the person being sponsored is (1) a spouse, common-law partner or conjugal partner who has dependent children who have dependent children of their own, or (2) a dependent child who has dependent children of his own,
then do not use IMM5481 but complete IMM1283 and IMM5482 instead.

Thanks for your help..

So it means that sponsor's dependent has nothing to do with it. If person being sponsor (applicant who wish to immigrate) has dependent children then IMM 1283 apply? right?

No still not quite right :-[
You are right if the person being sponsored is a spouse, common-law partner of conjugal partner of the sponsor and the person being sponsored has dependent children but the dependent child has no dependent children of his own; however if this sponsored person does have dependent children of his own then use IMM1283 and IMM5482.

Also if the person being sponsored is a dependent child of the sponsored person and if that dependent child has children of his own then use IMM1283 and IMM5482

Jarry

PS. Remember also that any dependent child of the sponsor is listed under question 6 B) of IMM5481
May I ask are you the sponsor and if so are you sponsoring a spouse or a child?

Hello Jarry,

My sponsor has a child (now citizen of Canada) and she is dependent on my sponsor. I am an applicant she is going to sponsor. In such situation

do we opt for IMM5481? right?

Also IMM5481 under 6b. Since she has one dependent she has to type 1 in 6b?

Thanks for getting back to me..

Re: Please help me do the Sponsorship Evaluation Form IMM 5481 question 5-B-i)

I had previous undertaking 6 years plus ago. What will be the answer at 5-B-i) question? How long is considered "still in effect"?
Thanks

Roszy your previous undertaking lasted for three years after the date the sponsored person became a permanent resident. So you would enter 0 for question 5bi
