Hi all. I really need an experienced advise on this issue.

I was separated from my wife 2 years ago approximately and I want to apply to the express entry program.

Legally i am still considered to be married although technically we are divorced. We have disputes to be resolved in the court, which could take really long. After which I will be able to file the divorce and get the proof (again this could take really long).

Luckily we don't have kids.

So my question is what martial status should i choose when applying to the express entry? and how can i prove that i am separated without the divorce papers?

Thanks..

You need to reflect the correct legal status, which is Married, however you can add LOE along with any copy of court order, etc. which clearly states that any divorce case is on going, if you have that

Also if you choose married and then choose that your spouse isn't joining you then you get the single applicant points..

If i do that, won't they require her to do medical checks and ask for her police certificate? If they ask for that later then that will create complications.
