Hello,

Please help !

I am on Contract full time job which will be end in May,2017. I want to apply for sick benefit (in March,2017) + Maternity leave (after birth of baby in June 2017).

But,my contract job will over in May,2017 so do i still eligible for Maternity leave? or does my contract job over will affect me to apply for Maternity leave ?

Please advise me,

I was on maternity leave last year. As soon as your WP expires, you are no longer entitled to receive the benefits. You need to update your file at Service Canada by sending new WP, COPR or PR card.
 
I have PR card. my company will not going to renew my contract job and i also dont want to continue that job as i am pregnant so i want to apply maternity leave.

is there any condition in EI benefit regarding job nature (contract or permanent) ?
