I am preparing to sponsor my child who did not accompany us when me and my wife was moving to Canada. Now I want to sponsor her but I am having some difficulty to understand a question in the document check list of sponsored person and family members.

The questions is they have demanded on this check list and supporting documents to 'Prove of medical examination for sponsored person and each of her dependants(Copy 1 of Medical Report: Client Biodata and Summary(IMM1017), signed and provided by panel physician)'.

Does it mean that you have to summit the Medicals together with all forms and documents during the initial application to the Case Processing centre? OR ?

Please help if you have come in a situation like this. your contribution will not be overlooked.

When your daughter goes to a medical exam, the doctor will give her a document. This document is the proof that she completed a medical exam. The doctor will send in all of their information separately. You will only need to include the document that you receive as part of your application.

It depends on your country and how your doctor does things. When you phone to make the appointment you can ask them and they will tell you everything you need to do.

Was your daughter on "your" application and subject to a medical exam even though non-accompanying at the time? This is what they are looking for. If she was omitted from your application, she is now excluded from ever being sponsored under the Family Class.

(Some assumptions had to made here for this post.)

Yes my daughter did medical examination together with me and my wife. But was not issued with a visa since she was listed in our original application as a non accompany family member. They have also asked me to send her travel documents( ie passport) as per the check list.

Thank you
