Please help!!!! - Confusion in Date of Landing

Hi,

I got my PR Visa with the expiry date mentioned as 30th March 2018. I had taken my medicals on 25th March 2017. Can I land after 25th March 2018? From what date is the medical expiry calculated? Any inputs appreciated!

Hi Aparna, kindly check your visa expiration date. If your 1yr visa expiration is 30March 2018 you can still enter by 25 March. For safety I recommend you to land at least 3wks to 1 month earlier.

Agreed - don't wait until the last minute to land. We've seen others wait and then be delayed a few days due to a family illness or other issue and miss the landing final landing date. If you fail to land by the expiry of your PR visa - you have to start the process again from scratch.

You can do a soft landing and stay for a short period of time and then you can return when you want to settle for good and complete your residency obligations (RO).
