Any job offer given for immigration purposes has to be supported by a Labour Market Opinion, no matter what... it is the legal requirement within the immigration and refugee act and there is no other way around it, so PLEASE verify that your potential employer is or was working on you behalf to obtain it, otherwise it will not be valid for the EE program.

CEC_DEC_27: Any education obtained outside Canada needs to be evaluated and assessed by an official evaluator in Canada, no other way around if you want to count those points you are claiming. Please refer to:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assessment.asp

By the way, my score is 353 points...

I am still to figure out how Express Entry would work. Anyhow, any comments on my profile vis-a-vis Express Entry ? A brief about me:

1. 5+ years of work experience as a Specialist Pediatrician
2. MBBS, MD post grad from one of the top most Institute in India
3. 1 1/2 year work + training experience in Canada .
4 IELTS score Overall 8.5
5. 34 years of age
6. Married
7. 1 yr Son Born in Canada /Canadian
8. Permanant Job offered in Saskatchewan as a Pediatrician with LMIA positive from 2015 October (400k salary)

Requesting someone to comment on my chances via Express Entry program 2015.
Should i wait for Express entry (worried if i will make the points) or should i go ahead and right away apply for Canada Experience Class on my current experience
or apply for Provincial Nominee Program.
How many points would i score .Can someone Calculate and whats the minimum i would need .

Please help
Regards,

You are good.
You should be getting the invite in the first round itself.

However, as per the new system, we did not see any mention of points for having relatives on PR / Citizens.
You may not get any points for your point 7.

Good profile though.

There'll be three groups of people

1. With OFFER/PNP/CAD EXP
Your score explodes and you'll definitely be selected.

2. With IELTS 8/7/7/7 or more
You get really high scores from skill transferability factors and have very high possibility to be selected.

3. Others (like me)
The main battlefield is here. Try to get more IELTS score as you can.

IF you want to stand out in group 3, here is a standard.

Mr. X : Single, Master, 29yo, 3 year work exp, CLB all 7 (IELTS 6/6/6/6)
FSW2014: 23+12+11+16 = 62
EE: 135+110+68+25+25 = 341

But in FSW2014 Mr.X will not be able to apply if he has no relatives in CA or a spouse that can help him.

Let's consider another one who is able to apply for FSW2014 by herself

Ms. Y : Single, Master, 29yo, 3 year work exp, CLB 7998 (IELTS 7/7/7/6.5 which is not hard)
FSW2014: 23+12+11+21 = 67
EE: 135+110+102 + 25 + 25 = 397

Average IELTS bands on SS is about 7.2 so we can see from SS that many many people can have same qualification as Ms.Y, or even better. I think Ms. Y is a typical youngster who decides to immigrate to Canada so we are not surprised to see many people get over 400 points.

I wrote a program yesterday to analyze SS data and estimate EE score based on the given data.

Warning: This is based on single scoring chart because spouse detail is not disclosed on FSW2014 SS.

Please report if your data is correct but your score biased a lot (diff more than 20 points).
(My score is 406 but my program gave me 404 through the data I put on SS ....close enough for me)

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1U7-j57LsMAZgwB_0M4My5gMnxjlqAq7mburXmIXgB8M/edit?usp=sharing

Some trivia:

If fsw2014_ielts_score > 24, then it will be 24
If fsw2014_ielts_score < 16, then it will be 16

Age estimation:

edu_age
bachelor: 22
master: 24
phd: 26

est_age = edu_age + work_year

fsw2014_ielts_score to ee_ielts_score
16 -> 68
17 -> 74
18 -> 81
19 -> 87
20 -> 94
21 -> 101
22 -> 109
23 -> 116
24 -> 124

Hi experts,

For Express Entry point calculation, how should i calculate my points per factor if my spouse is not accompanying ?

The Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) table says "Points per factor - With a spouse" and "Points per factor - Without a spouse". Does it mean married/unmarried or accompanying/non-accompanying as well ?
