Wow Congrats Ellian!!! Ask some travel agencies and compare their rates. Pwede ka ring magcanvass online. If you have time you can back read the thread for CEM spousal sponsorship....dun maraming nagbigay ng names and contact numbers of reputable travel agencies...there's also a discount called first time immigrant discount, but they have to see you visa before they can give it to you.Airfare usually depends on the airline....example....PAL that offers direct flights from manila to Vancouver is more expensive than other airlines which has 1-2 or more stop overs. My son when we got him over had to pay full adult price kasi he was travelling alone via PAL (phil airlines) but if he was accompanied by an adult, children under 12 is half price/if not its 3/4 of the price of an adult fare.....We payed roughly around PhP32k for his plane ticket coz there was an additional $100 for unaccompanied child (my son was 10 that time). When we first called PAL,they gave us a quote of $850,I can't remember if taxes are already included. Then we called this agency my brother has given to me and were given a lower quote so we went and bought the ticket from them.....We also tried an agency from saskatoon and we were given a quote of almost $1200 manila to a stopover in asia to vancouver to saskatoon na un....

Goodluck and see u soon sa Saskatoon!

thanks tigerlilly!

oo nga, nag back reading na nga ako ng mga threads, check ko ung CEM spousal sponsorship. we're 4 in the family, 2 adults and 2 kids.sana nga makakuha kami ng 1/2 price for kids and discount sa travel tax, sayang din. mauna husband ko samin, by feb or march cguro sya then june naman kami ng mga kids. dami pa kase ako aasikasuhin, 6 months ang work turnover dito sa office and wait ko pa bonus ko sa april, hehhe. i'm hoping that we'll have a better life in canada, pero mami-miss ko parents, siblings and friends ko dito. parang there's a lot of things to prepare. is it true, health card will be available 3 mos after landing pa? so we need get a temporary insurance? what is copr? thanks in advance. this forum is really helpful, glad that i joined here. magkita tayo sa saskatoon pag jan na kami :)

hi ellina25,

congratulations sa PPR mo...God is really good....COPR means Confirmation of Permanent Residence, its a documents that will be sent to you together with your visa...it is very important, so never fold or write anything on it when it arrives...the immigration officer during your interview in your port of entry will fill it out upon your landing. HTH God bless you

Kumusta po sa lahat! I am in Saskatoon, and been living here for almost 6 years now. I have seen the influx of our kababayans for the last 3 years in the city of bridges......marami na rin kaming kapitbahay na Filipino families. Mabuhay! ;D ;D

Hello fellow Saskatonians! I am new here in Saskatoon but i really enjoyed staying here. Ive gone all over the city last summer para daw maikot ko naman Saskatoon. SINP d2 is mabilis kc kulang papulasyon. Low cost of living din but to those na sanay sa city you might find it medyo slow or boring. All in all maganda d2..mababait mga tao..kaliwa't kanan may makikita kang Pinoy.. Gudluck sa mga papunta d2 and hope ma meet ko mga nand2 na. ;D :D

thanks anajoreen! i'll take note of that. we'll send our passports next week to CEM. then our next step is to attend coa and ciip for us to get more infos about canada migration. we'll start to prepare our stuffs little by little and also scout for the lowest fare from mnl to yxe.

oh sure! hahanapin talaga kita, hahhaa. mababait nga daw taga sask according to my husband's cousin. mauna hubby ko early next year, sa Allan muna sya tutuloy, 50 kms away from saskatoon, right?. then kapag medyo ok na, sunod kami sa june next yr then we'll move to stoon. hopefully makahanap din ako ng work, i'm eyeing for a part time job lng kase mag school mga bata. whole day ba ang graders?

sana dumating na rin ppr and mr ng mga members para everybody happy...

Hello. ask ko lang, pag send ka ng blank reply for confirmation na nareceive mo yung PPR, reply without writing anything lang di ba? Just to make sure lang.

Ngyon ko lang kasi nasend yung passport ko and nabasa yung PPR request. May jet lag pk.... :)

Thanks guys.

yep just click reply and then dont write anything and then send....receipt verification lang yun ng CEM...pero syempre wag mo burahin yung PPR letter pag nag reply ka...blanko mo lang yung upper part...pede mo rin yung pang back up pag accidentally na erase mo yung sa inbox mo...meron pa sa sent items
