kumuha ka na lng certificate sa LTO .. that way .. depende sa record mo .. para pwede ka mag test ng class 7 which is the written one .. tapos pag na pass mo yun pwede nila alisyun yung 1 year wait to take class 5 .. so to make it short .. after mo ma pass yung class 7 written exam baka pwede ka na din agad mag test ng class 5 to drive on your own ..

strict sila sa ganyan since driving accidents is one of the main death causing accidents in alberta..
dito makaka kita ka ng mga 5 to 20 cars na banggaan .. lalo na winter ..

Gil, you don't need to get international license. You can drive here in Canada with your Philippine passport for 3 months. I'm not 100% sure if it's 3 months, but I know you can.

As for what you get at LTO, request for a Driver's Abstract or a Driver's record in English. That abstract will state how long you've been driving in the Philippines which will determine if you're eligible to take the driving test here right away and skip the waiting period.

hellow September applicants! its seen lahat nag ka decision made na sila or may visa na bakit ako wala pa :-[ .... I feel so sad and left out kasi since April 12 "in process" na ecas ko and until now walang pang update sa application ko. should i follow up with CEM? nag expire na rin yung medical ko on May 31. Please advise what action should I take. Meron bah akong dapat gawin na follow up or keep waiting na lang... I feel more sad na ang processing time is now 14 months na. will all Sept 2012 application will get affected on this new processing time?

I suggest have your spouse contact your MP (member of parliament) to request for an update and order your GCMS notes to see what's going on.

hi salamat po at di ako nag iisa... sa tingin mo bah kelangan natin mag sulat sa CEM. i am emotionally tortured, frustrated, disappointed sa service nila. i thought family is their priority to be reunited. wala naman akong may na receive na email kun may kulang or mali man sa application. why we have to wait that long at nauuna yung iba? i know processing time is one year pero ayaw kong matapos pa ang one year at saka ako mag complain. they are just humans... i know somewhere... there must be lapses sa part nila.

I got my licence here in Bacolod LTO, tapos dinala sa Manila LTO for processing, then balik sa Bacolod, sila na ang nag process...i couldnt remember but i think it's 3,000 something....im not sure but parang 3k something....magagamit natin yung licence for 3 mos. i guess, then renew of international licence every yr. but i think di naman kailangan e renew dito if kukuha ka diyan ng exam for licence, but i dont know ano yung mga requirements diyan......

It's a document that will summarize how your application is being processed or the current status of it.

The sponsor should order it in behalf of the permanent resident (PR) applicant. The PR applicant should fill in the consent form. Order it as soon as possible because it takes a while to get sent, and opt for email instead of snail mail.

Use this link to order: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/department/atip/requests-atip.asp

it's your choice if gusto mo mag international license .. or yung lto certificate .. basta sasabihin ko sayo .. mura kotse dito pamatay insurance .. lalo na if naka international license ka .. iba ang rate .. kaya better if you get your alberta license fast rather than wait for a year .. insurance ng kotse ko .. 2012 chevy cruze ltz(sport trim) 26k$price .. 165$ per month full coverage sa 2011 gmc acadia lt (high trim suv) ko naman 260$ per month .. but brand new yan saka full coverage .. so its up to you .. if you think when you got here in alberta you'd land a high paying job agad go for international license .. kasi afford mo to pay high insurance .. but if you're starting from scratch i would suggest take my word .. go get certificate to so you can skip waiting period .. and have alberta license within a month

im in alberta since 2010 ..
