You will get no argument for me, I am tired of the waiting, so is my Asawa, this has no been 20 months total for us, between the Philippines government and now the Canadian government, we have had enough.

It took from June 2011 until August 2012 just to get everything back in the Phil's straightened out when my wife changed her name when she went back home. I would of never believed paper work could take so long at that did, between the name change and doing the report of marriage, and then getting her passports with her married name, I spent a lot of time in the Philippine Consulate in Vancouver, they just have one speed there, extra slow, I understand they are busy, but nearly four months to get paper work from the front counter and into a bag to send back to the Philippines, where it sat for months and months again.

At least now we console ourselves knowing that we are on the downward end of this wait, and hopefully soon she will be back here, and we can get on with living, instead of being stuck in limbo.

Aww... I can definitely understand the frustration.. I'm sorry to hear about what you had to go through. I'm just feeling a little bit sad as I just remember that our 1st wedding anniversary is fast approaching. I didn't realize what others had to go through. Good luck to us, and hopefully our PPR is just around the corner.

Sa applicant sis, yung info mo ilalagay. Police cert is yung NBI. Yung medical kasama sa application. What I did nung nagpprepare ako ng application namen is binabasa ko yung guide habang sinasagutan ko yung mga forms and pnprepare yung mga required docs. Sobrang helpful ng guide.

Hello September applicants :D mukhang malapit lapit na rin tayo sana by April may PPR na tayo...question pala ang PPR ba ay usually via email or snail mail? based sa mga nababasa ko is thru email, pero if snail mail ba ok lang if kamag anak tumanggap? worry ko kc baka wala ako by the time na dumating snail mail. thanks in advance and God bless us all:)

Haha lagi nga kame nagaaway. Minsan nga naiisip ko mas ok pa nung bf/gf kame. Godbless sateng lahat! :)

Hi Rose I'm new here...Ask ko lang sis kung ng pa medical ka before mg submit ng application, option C rin wait namin makapa medical. Pls give me all the ideas on preparing everything...Thank you so much

yes. kasama yung medical sa application. it's better na magpamedical kapag ready na lahat ng requirements kase it's good only for 1 year. yung nbi ko kinuha ko rin nung ipapadala ko na kay hubby yung application namen. nung nagpprepare ako, yung guide (Guide 3900 for the sponsor and Guide 3999 for the applicant) yung pinakamalaking naging help for me, tas pag may hindi masyadong clear, nagbabasa ako or nagtatanong dito sa forum. pero most of the info on the guide is very much self-explanatory, kaya you will not go wrong kung ipa-follow mo yung guide. ;D

the steps: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-apply-how.asp

and then eto yung link sa mga forms na kelangan mo: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/fc.asp

Sana bumilis na ang pag galaw ng CEM. Nakakalungot at nakaka stress ang mag antay ng papel. :'( :'( :'(

finally found the thread for September applicants. ;D any luck getting our Visa this month? what do you think guys?

my world revolves around checking UCI thru CAS daily.. nakakaloka... while checking, I've noticed my SAS status change from "in process" to "decision made" what does this mean?

Meoh malapet na ppr

Dan you didn,t need your wife to change her name on the passport... in the Fils that can take forever.... after you got your NSO... then you should have applied...the NSO as you know takes 4 months we waited for that....just but the name on the IM0008 as it says on her passport and changed her last name in Vancover when she arrived....

Well, the misses was gung ho to make it official and let everyone know she was married. First thing she did as soon as she was back in the Phil's was get her name changed, that was when she found out about x,y and z paper work which also needed to be done as well. I am sure the look on her face the moment the person handling her passport said "uhhh no", was :o

Neither of us was to thrilled, but it was just the beginning of the process so it was easy enough to deal with then, now nearly 21 months total wrapped up in this and she still kicks her self in the backside, at least once a week I hear "I should never changed the name! buggers!" :D so nothing else to do but hunker down and wait it out. Thankfully we will have six months of waiting on CIC tomorrow, so I keep reminding her that the end will come soon now (my rooster predicted 9 months - if he is wrong it won't turn out well for him ;D )

But baring any unforeseen events or bureaucrats, this should be the downward side of this mess. Although it all had her rather down last night, she seems back to her smiling self today. Praying for a summer reunification here, and trying to remain optimistic.
