CNO will not process your application until you pay their application fee. Ang mahal nga for international graduates. I already paid for the examination fee (exam is set on October). Ang problema pag wala pa akong visa by the end of July, I am forced to withdraw my exam. application by August so I can get a full refund. If not, gone is the $508.50. Pero mas malaki ang problema if I could't sit for the exam this year. I have no choice but to reapply by Jan. 2013. A new regulation that will take effect next year requires applicants to reapply if they have not met all the requirements for registration within two years from the day they file their application. August 2010 pa ko...Hay naku, masasayang lang ang lahat. If I were, you apply only if you are sure you have the visa. We are working against a time frame here...

I took the CELBAN (no IELTS experience) and I just used the self-assessment tool that was available online (www.celban.org), the offline assessment is just the same as the one online. So I would advise to order it. Reading a Canadian Edition Physical examination and Health assessment book had helped me prepare for the speaking test (role playing), likewise talking to Canadians. Watching only English movies/shows were also a big help (for listening), and of course practice writing an incident report.

thanks sa reply! Edmonton. nacheck ko na website nila. plan ko magorder ng offline kit. mahirap kasi magtake ng exam pag walang practice, like yung listening, reading, etc.

Edmonton din ako. San ka dito? Sa downtown ako.

kulang ako ng 0.5 sa reading

magaapply ako sa Manitoba
any idea kung anong ibig sabihin ng...

(The scores take the Standard Error of Measurement into consideration.) eto kasi nakalagay kasama ng required scores


umaasa lang ako na baka ma consider ung lacking 0.5 ko kasi mataas naman akosa ibang subtest, ang mahal mahal pa naman ng ielts

Are you in Canada already? Perhaps you can ask for an override. But if they insist you retake, JUST DO IT. I trust you will do great.

Hi sis,

I am not quite sure if override works for IELTS taken outside Canada. Override is asking a person who requires you to get certain score to consider your 0.5 to 1 mark short of what is required. Because you are tooooo close to that required score, I think it should be considered. But, again, if they inisist, JUST DO IT. It's worth redoing it here in Canada, though.

Thanks for the advise! I really appreciate it! Nag order na din ako assessment tool last June. I'm here sa Clareview. Matatagalan pa CELBAN exam kasi full na sila hanggang January 2012. So sana makaabot ako for February schedule. Gusto ko na din muna magwork as Nursing Attendant habang nagaantay for Celban exam. Right now naka enroll ako online course - Medical Terminology and sa end of September naman start nung training CPR (BCLS - HCP). Kumpletuhin ko muna requirements before applying as NA.

Regitered nurse din po ako recently lng and I am currently taking IELTS now and want to take this coming March 3, 2013 pero wla po sa akin ang passport ko nasa CEM pa last December 20, 2012...tanong ko lng po. pwede bang mag take ng IELTS kahit wlang passport? pls naman po need ko po advice nyo....
