Oo nga hehe the ielts part is updated antaas na requirements. San ka bound? Alberta ako sis.

Hi Guys! i took ielts sa pinas and dito sa canada. nagexpire kc ung sakin nun. i found the speaking part in the philippines to have a shorter time frame and fewer questions. ung dito sa canada, ang haba masyado. tinapos nya ata ung list nya noon, kaya i found myself blabbing and making up stories para humaba ang mga sagot ko (thinking ill consume the time allotted). but still tinapos nya ung pagkadami daming tanong. Nung nagreview ako for the exam dito sa canada, bumili ako ng book to practice ung listening. reading madali lang, kayang kaya nyo yan. writing mas naintindihan ko ung technique na nakalagay sa book na binili ko kesa sa tinuro sa review centr noon sa pinas.

eto ung book - barron's IELTS 2nd ed. think i got it for $26.50 at chapters. a little pricey but worth it.

ginamit din po yan ng parents ko for their english exam.

san ka sa canada ? di ka ba nag celban? nako pricey nga yang book, i have here naman ung materials provided ng review center na pinag enrolan ko pero di naan ako umaatend LOL. super naman at mahaba pla speaking jan hmmmm.. matanong ko lang bkt dika nalang nag CELBAN?

while waiting po sa processing ng papers for CRNE, nag work po ako as Health care aide. you just have to look for hospitals or nursing homes that will not recquire health care aide certificate dahil RN na sa PInas. magandang experience po un before maging RN.

dito sa manitoba una assesment ng papers sa IQAS, then assesment ng knowledge and experience. dun po nila ibabase kung magundergo pa ng BRIDging program for internationally educated nurses. part din po ng assesment ang actual exam ng crne.. hindi ko po alam kung paano ang scoring nila.

6 months po bridging program ko nun. 4 months classroom, 6 weeks practicum. luckily 1 course lang ang kailangan kong kunin. seat-in na ako sa ibang courses.

para sakin mas madali po ung CRnE compared sa exam sa pinas. more on analysis po kasi, hindi kailangan magmemorize ng pagkadami daming acronyms, or shortcuts kagaya ng exam sa pinas and nclex.

malaking tulong din po na naging graduate
nurse muna ako for 2 months before the exam, kc dun na talaga ako natuto.

hi jaraxle316 , thanks sa mga infos mo, ang galing mo naman at 6 mos lang bridging mo heheh ung niece ng hubby ko sa edm it took her almost 3 yrs kasama ang waiting ng assessment ng carna parang 7 subjects yata pinakuha sa kanya. at sis ( sis ba? ) sayo ko nalaman ung HCA kc ung isa kung classmate na pinagtatanungan ko na nasa calgary mukhang akala kausap alam lahat acronym LOL, good to know health care aide cert pla un LOL. sabi ng ani hubby pwd daw me magwork as salesgirl , cashier o kahit ano kung gusto ko pero ung gusto ko daw talga mag RN don eh mag caregiver para may idea which is tama nga, i dont mind naman sis kahit ano job , tipong survival job ba pasalamat nlng ako may hubby me sakali support system ko at very supportive - pinupush ako mag ielts sa 21 hahaha.

ang galing mo naman after 2 mos na GN ka eh pumasa ka sa crne mo, i can imagine the will to learn base sa experience mo being a health care aide.
sis salamat ng marami kc ur infos adds to my list of inspiration ...

hmmm... as of now wala pa po yung permanent resident card ko hopefully this week meron na sabi kasi 35 days lang ang waiting... yun ang kailangan ko for application ko sa IELTS exam. I was weighing between CELBAN and IELTS eh sa IELTS kasi my experience na ako so go na ako sa exam next month... sana mapasa ko...so, back to review mode ako ngayon, tama na ang bonding time sa husband... hahahhaha ;D Kaya kayo na nasa pinas pa better take the english exam na jan para diretso apply na kayo sa CARNA... nagkaproblema din ako sa verification ng immigration file ko for my SIN, inaantay ko din yun para naman kahit papano makapagwork na ako after my exam... salamat sa advise ng nursing aide work, yan ang hahanapin ko dito ngyon...sana meron...

hi prayersword i have been waiting for your posts re CARNA prep mo dyan hehehe. now u gave me another inspiration to take the ielts here, sana nga pumasa tau sis. Goodluck sa SIN mo, hope makuha mo na so u can start to look for a survival job habang dipa tau RN. Goodluck !

Hi, im sorry but i have a few question.. Are u going to take NCLEX because u are going to US from after vancouver? NCLEX is for US, so if u planned of moving to the US yes u can take it and check the BON or board of nursing to what state mo gusto maging nurse aa US. NCLEX has no bearing aa canada. Maybe you can ask some of our friends here na nasa vancouver na sis..
