Regarding pla sa question mo if pwedi kmuha ng bankdraft sa bank in canada. my husband asked someonw from the bank hindi daw pwedi pg wlang account don.. nasend mo na ba application mo? did you already paid for it? try mo yun CC ng sister mo, my husband said pwedi daw yun.. just send the receipt together with your application..:)

yes, we just submitted our application last august.. bilis na ng process ngayon after the strike.. :)

Let's continue sharing our experiences here.. I'll update everytime may progress yun app nmin..

Godbless us all..:)
Hi narsse,

In paying my processing fee, I will first try to use a debit card (currency in peso) the bank told me that it is possible that my payment will be accepted though the conversion of currency that will be the deducted to my account is equivalent to the exchange rate the time that i made my online payment.

Second option, if my first try will be declined my sister will be using her cc in canada.

That's my second and last option..hope either will work.

God bless on your medical exam..

Will you fly to cebu or are you based in cebu?

Thank you.

Thank you tabs179.. At last someone replied! We're on the same boat, waiting starts here.. Guess we have to armour ourselves with more patience! I just can't wait to start a family with my husband. I feel like this waiting has taken its toll on us, the distance and time difference has been more than a year of sacrifice.. Thanks to skype, Ym, fb & viber, my bestfriends for the past 15 months..:)

Happy waiting to us!

Hi tabs179,

I am applying under general stream of pnp.though i have a sister there but i have not tried the family sponsorship style because before my sister went there she also applied under general stream (we have our aunt and uncle there) so general stream is the procedure we are more familiar with..

I got my letter of approval from manitoba office last june and i have until november to submit my forms to NS..but i will just submit it this week (i will just have to send it maybe through lbc for faster processing, hopefully 4days)..the reason for this delay submission is i gathered again all my supporting docs like school updated certificate from work, funds, etc..but as far as im reading some thread some applicants did not submit any latest/updated documents to cic..is that ok? because me, i will going to submit the whole bundle of documents from checklist together with the supporting docs.

What stream have you applied for?

Thanks..
Hi istel0887,

Manitoba ka rin pala. I also applied through General Stream, I tried Family Stream but they keep on rejecting me because of less than 2 years experience. They aren't counting my part-time work even it was 5 years of work experience. So, i tried for the 3rd time via General Stream. I should have done that earlier, but we all learn from our mistakes and it took me 2x of rejection before trying for another option. Otherwise, I would have been in Canada already as I have started applying in August 2010.

My uncle lives in Manitoba so I opted for PNP, but now Manitoba has changed the PNP process, they have made it all under only 1 application stream, under a point based system. You don't need to submit all your educational documents as far I know. Manitoba has already these information and has forwarded to CIC. But nevertheless, you got these documents ready when you go to Canada as they will ask for your original papers when acquiring for a job and other papers, such as health card etc.

But they only asked for proof of English proficiency in regards to education. So, no need to send all your educational documents. What is on the checklist is what you should follow. If ever they need anything extra, they will ask you.

By the way, I sent mine through FedEx, took 4 days as well. Is LBC cheaper? (FedEx 1,520 pesos). Keep us updated... :D

Hi istel0887,

Well, at least the CIC will not ask for anymore documents in the future from you. As you have all the updated information. But honestly, you don't need to send it unless they ask. Kaya nga sila merong Document's Checklist. Besides, they will ask these additional requirement via email. So, you just need to scan them. It's up to you anyway, just make sure you submit them on time. Malapit na ang November.

Mine took a while too, I had to get a Police Clearance from UK and then NBI also took a while for me because I share the same name with someone. And then generating the funds pa. At least it's submitted na. We are almost there, getting the MPNP for me was even a struggle itself so I should be more patient with CIC. Hearing these good news from people getting their medicals, naka-excite tuloy :p

My uncle is in Winnipeg (Winterpeg as they say). You? Saan ang punta mo? Keep us updated, if ever you go first, I want to know stories of finding jobs there. My uncle keep on saying it's hard. So, he keeps on saying to prepare myself.

I didn't fill in a representative form. If you look into the Document Checklists, it state there (if applicable), so if not, don't print out any form or fill any of those forms.

Hi istel0887,

What a small world naman. Yes, baka nga magkita tayo sa bus. Hahaha

Keep in touch, before one of us leaves, we can exchange private contact numbers. Just PM me. It's always good to know that someone is on the same boat as I am and if I know you found a job easily, I feel relieved that it isn't that difficult.

May I know what field you are in? And what field you want to work in?

I am in HR Management/ Administration. So, perhaps office worker if I am even lucky should be my goal. My uncle suggests call centre (akala ko hindi ko na babalikan ang work na yan but it appears I will have to.)

By the way, are you still planning to get a visit visa to attend your sister's wedding? Canadian Embassy's were on strike for months, so many people were not able to even get their visit visas on time. Particularly, embassies in PH, India and Mexico.

Hi Narsse,

I noticed that your AINP only took you 3 months. Mine took 6 months because I am not under Family Stream, I applied via General Stream. That is because I kept on being rejected for Family Stream (they don't accept my work experience, unlike in General Stream). Pero, sana nga mabilis na rin ang CIC.

Where did you hear the stories regarding MR in Cebu? I am not rushing to go this year, tickets are super expensive over the the Christmas holidays and it isn't easy to go on interviews around that time of the year. Everybody just want to celebrate LoL But I bet you are hoping to celebrate with your husband as you have been apart for a while now.

I don't think everyone gets their AOR and MR together, there are threads here who received an AOR but no MR. So, yours is really a very quick process.

Looking forward to hear about your MR experience.

usually it takes 4 months Ainp process for employer driven stream-semi skilled, but our ainp process only took 3 months.. We were adviced to complete our documents while waiting for the nomination, pra once apprved na we can directly submit our application to CIO, nova scotia. mgkaiba pla tau ng stream, but more or less we will undergo the same process.. like medical exam, security check etc..

a friend told me from cebu that the medical exam process is faster there, and less applicants/clients compared in IOM, manila..

yay xmas in coming na pla.. you're right people will be busy and mas masaya pa rin ang pasko dito sa pinas! hehehe..:)

Actually we did not receive a confirmation letter/email from cio, ns that they have received our application.. dapst kac may AOR same with my sisters app. lahat kac ng info with our app directly sa employer ni husband pinapadala ng cio, ns.. so bka nareceive ng employer but they did not forward it to us, only the medical request.. so what we did to confirm na narecieve na tlga ng cio yun app namin, I checked sa cic website under "check application status" using the UCI written on the MR, don ko naconfirm na they recieved our application last august 27..

ngpasched na pla ako for Medical exam in Cebu this oct. 22.. They asked me to bring the IMM 1017E (MR form), original passport & 2 photocopies, 4 pcs. passport size picture, ballpen, and payment is 4100.. also kelangan dalhin yn eyeglass if using any eye correction, latest x ray film/negative & records of vaccine like hep A & B etc..

Thanks for the update on your MR, narsse. Mas mura pala sa Cebu, but then I will have to travel there, so baka mapamahal pa LoL. But in fairness, flights to Cebu aren't that expensive. Makapasyal pa ako sa Cebu. Never been there. Where are you based? Curious lang.

The info on eyeglasses are helpful. What if I have no other medical records? That's because I used to live in UK and I never bothered with tracking them as doctors and hospitals have a computerized system. Additionally, if I ask for records, they charge for particular information.
