I am skill A, with a PhD and a permanent and life-lasting job.

Yet, my application has started being processed way after people who applied after me.

Fact: Processing appears to be completely random and solely depends on which VO is working on your app.

Morale: I thinks that patience is key (and I hope you have more patience than I do :D)

;)

There are other aspects that come in to play too, how many times have you travelled. ?
If many your app will be slower

I thought about that too, as I travel a LOT. However, I know of other frequent fliers that appied for CEC that got processed way faster than me.

Maybe it's just because I am ugly...

;D

Yep all April applicants are A's keep an eye on it, I bet there's more over the next few days !

Just curious, why does skill A come before skill type O - O is management, so I would think they come first? Who knows with CIC anyways!

Skill should factor, any sane government who is doing immigration based on "Skilled worker", will emphasize on skill.

However, the couple of Feb/March applicant who already landed (completion in 9 months), I believe they were just plain lucky.

For example, VO-X has 50 application at hand. Then VO-X quits (strike?) and CIC takes these 50 application divides them to VO-Y and VO-Z.... Now out of these 50 apps, VO-Y has 1-25 (earlier applications), VO-Z has another 26-50 (later applications). Both of these officers starts working on these applications simultaneously.
The people who got lucky, were in the later stack. It means even though they were in the bottom of the pile, after the division, their file came to the top. Their application was processed along with November/December Applicants.

Anyways, I feel this was a rare occurrence and 80% of the applications will be processed on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Hmmm well I'm 0

But......

You can go into management after a year to be honest if Yoruba hard worker.

But NOC A requires a diploma or degree,

0 doesn't require higher education

I suppose it is only logical that they pick in that order if I'm being totally fair.

Not all of NOC A's require a degree or diploma and many of NOC O's do require a degree or diploma. It's not that straight forward. ;)

Their is definitely some merit in what is being said but I'm not convinced it explains the full processing model.

April NOC A applicants who are receiving are in a skill that require a diploma or degree, that's what I'm noticing

Maybe.....
If it is a 0 with a degree then they may not be fare behind.

One thing is for sure!, if your NOC skill B, your looking at the following month.
