Photos were sent back

Hey guys,

Got my application back because the photographer didn't stamp nor date the photo. So I am going back tomorrow. Do we agree that my photos need to be stamped with date 12/16? I sent my application on 10/19 but I would not make any sense to date them with the October date...

If that happened to you to just let me know what you did

Stamp and current date as your package was returned and still will be treated as new application when you will resend. However, attach a cover letter explaining that your application was returned due to lack of stamp and date on photo.. So you are sending again with correction..

I am going to simply leave their letter indicating what was missing in my file. Although my application has been stamped as received on October 23. So not sure exactly how that works. Will they stamp it again with Dec. something date?

the best way is to get new photos. visit nearest london drugs and they can click exact citizenship photos for you. I am not sure whether all london drugs have that facility or not.

If you put today's date then it would not be right because the photos were clicked back in time. You can take the photos to the place where you got it clicked and got it stamped back dated. Make sure the photos are not more than 6 months old

Yes I will ask if they can change the date but if they can't I will add today's date. Anyway photos are new. That would be ridiculous to retake photos just for the sake of it. Cost me $40! And they never said that photos were not good it's just missing the stamp and date.

London drugs charge around $15.
If you can spend $400 on application why are you worrying about just $15-40 bucks. Its for your lifetime.
If you print today's date on the old photos and once CIC receives the photos, if they remember that you stamped the old photo with new date, then you might get in trouble.

Always be on safe side.

I hope you have also mentioned the following on the back of both photos:

1. The name of photographer/studio and their address.
2. Date photos were taken
3. Your name.

Photos were two months old and yes I have indicated everything this time ahahah!!

I went to Walmart and their stamp actually mention all of the following: studio, address, date. Just added my name.
