does that mean that they don't always return the photos? i did send copies of all my pictures, i kept the original ones, but i'd love to have the ones i sent back and make a new album called "Permanent Resident Application - 2011".Baloo said:They can be; But I know quite a few people who have not had items returned.
It is always a good idea to send copies (or printed scans) of sentimental items that you want to keep.
oh that's good! as long as I get them sometime after the process is complete, that would be nice!vivi2 said:cpc-m doesn't return anything, the local visa office needs the whole application. when picking up the visa from the local visa office and in the last stage of the process, photos and card and things are returned, at least this is the way Damascus visa office does it!
Scanning cards (inside and out) is also possible, my wife did not want the risk of losing the originals.sthomas said:I wish they would. We sent cards that I collected for two years. I do not mind about the photos, I can have it reprinted.
Too late, already submitted our papers last May. According to our region specifics, a card with postmarked envelopes. So I sent the originals.Baloo said:Scanning cards (inside and out) is also possible, my wife did not want the risk of losing the originals.
When a card is scanned you can add a descriptive note about the people who sent it, or a description of the occasion.
The good news is that digital annotation on the scan does not need a paper clip and it wont get lost in a mass of paper.
