I read that they would reject the application if it were not to their standards. I had my photo taken but I noticed that my bangs are slightly covering my eyebrows. Is that ok? It's not specified in their requirements.

If it's worries you better fix it. Pharmacies usually know the specifications.

Have you submitted the application yet or not?

If you have, then too late - leave it and see if they ask

If you haven't, your call I suggest. Personally I would have them re-done simply for my own peace of mind, but that is probably just me being a stress-head!

Please DO make sure you are using the correct specification. The correct and newer specification (since January 2016) is for a photo size of 50mm x 70mm - the earlier spec was for a smaller overall size. It will all be detailed as a link off of the latest version of your CIC checklist.

If you have a chance and haven’t submitted your application yet it would be better to redo those photos.

Exactly, these specs are the size of our canadian passport photos, which are often bigger than other countries passport. So make sure they photograph know it is not your countries passport dimentions

Its prob because the passports in his country are smaller than ours, hence their passport dimension photos are smaller
They will be rejected. When i was with my husband and they took his photos they were adamant that they were good
I got my ruler and said no, too small
He got a second set with good dimensions and at the interview the officer rejected the smaller ones
The head was correct on both
Photographer extended the bottom part and made them bigger using the same photos

Yes, it will cause delay!

At worst, they will simply reject your application.

At best, they will ask for new photographs to the correct specification, causing at least a few weeks delay.

They won't reject the application - they will return it. There is a big difference.
