Photo Evidence

We have tons of photos of our wedding ceremony, etc... more than should be needed for my Wife's PR.. My question is actually how to present the pictures.

Do we (or should we) go to a photo shop and do real photos (costly with 100+ photos), or can we do simple (yet detailed) b/w laser prints of all photos on plane white paper? (say 4 photos per page).. It is not the most elegant method, but I am not really sure what they are requiring.

yes some do and some don't.....again individual preference.......

Like what KJG said, do what is comfortable for you. We did real photos and sent I think almost 100 photos. I wrote some stuff at the back, like who is in the photo, when was it taken and where was it taken.

Captions are very much necessary. Without them, how would a perfect stranger know what he/she is looking at?

Printing them is totally fine. Very easy to organize and I think it looks more professional.

Agreed. Captions should include a description of who's in the photo, where it was taken, and the date. Also mention if it was taken at a special event (e.g. Family reunion, birthday, anniversary, etc.)

I also agree on the captions. We submitted about 50+ 4x6 pictures with captions on the date taken, place and the occasion (e.g. family reunion, honeymoon, etc.).

I wonder if anyone has used facebook as a photo reference. I am including the photo and a print screen of the photo on facebook, with the dates and so forth. I am being genuine in my attempt to give proof to our 4/12 year relationship. I just wonder if CIC doesn't care as a print screen could be forged. Sucks when people ruin things for others.

Think of it another way...everything you submit could be forged. I would send the print screens and let them assess whether they believe them to be real or not. I doubt they will think they are forged if all the other evidence is legit...

Remember, they look at the evidence as a whole...they can't just reject an applicant based on one piece of iffy evidence when there is loads more that is solid...do you know what I mean?

We submitted our joint bank account as evidence...we opened the account in October 2011 and submitted our application to CIC-M in early April 2012. A very nasty visa officer might think that we opened it solely for the purposes of immigration. Who knows, right? Of course that's not why we opened it...but then when you look at all the other evidence (trips together, meeting my parents in China, baby together, etc...) it would be very odd for the VO to reject based on one piece of the puzzle...
