No problem at all,

Hope you all do exceptionally well.

As I move files from one drive to another things may be added to the 'list' so check to see if anything is new or request it and I'll try and find it for you.

Good luck and study hard!

Hi h_bomb10,

you're probably getting a lot of requests for study material for the evaluating exam! If you don't mind sharing them with me as well as I've failed my first attempt at this test, so would really appreciate any assistance you can provide. thank you

Large number of Pharmacists are still failing in this exam, so a Pharmacist should clear at least EE exam before migrating to Canada and specially Industrialist Pharmacist should avoid to come to Canada, because they will face great difficulties here.
On one side they will have to do odd jobs as labour worker, and will have to face harsh weather which can even take your life, because large number of people suffer here from breakage of bones due to slippery and icy roads and muddy pathways.

Hey all, I'm the guy who bumped this topic earlier to try and calm everyone down.

To further relax your nerves, I have recently found out I passed the evaluating exam, so passing this exam is possible :)

I will admit, it was harder than I thought and that's why it took me two attempts, however it is possible to pass on your first try.

I cannot give any specifics about the exam as you are not allowed to talk about it, but I can give some general tips.

If you're a genius you can probably get away with studying 2 weeks, but I recommend 1.5 - 2 months of studying.

-Know Misbah very well, memorize as much as you can
-Don't worry about brand names (PEBC tells you they will always give generic names)
-Memorizing all interactions and adverse drug reactions is either impossible or will take too long.. just know the most common/important ones. Don't ignore this section entirely, but don't memorize every last one, unless you have a lot of time
-Personally I did not bother learning ANY structures, I think it is a waste of time you could use studying other things
-I only learnt the most common things about microbiology and antimicrobials (there's just too much to memorize, and effort elsewhere may be more effective)
-Know your calculations... this is the easiest way to guarantee yourself a lot of marks on the test. Learn what each formula on the formula sheet means and how to use it, they are ALL useful. Practice math questions and know the math back and forth
-Personally I did not read CPR, but apparently the first 20 chapters has helped people
-Google things that confuse you, or are hard to memorize, researching will help you remember it
-I found misbah only gives half explanations to a lot of things, if something on there seems incomplete, google/research to get the full story

I hope you find this advice useful. Good luck to everyone.

All International Pharmacists who has passed PEBC exam or not requested to continue write your experience and your valuable advices. So, others can able to get ideas and pass the exam. We all know, Hard work is only key to pass this exam. What we study different subjects at different years or semesters at college or university level, it comes together at one level when we give PEBC exam. So, may be it will difficult for us to pass on 1st trial. We have to study continue till to get Pharmacists license in Canada.

Thank you.

I really apologise with the delay in writing to you but as it so happens, undertaking preregistration training in uk is more difficult then I previously imagined.
Yes I do mean the study notes. Essentially what misbah is, is a summary of the major topics from comprehensive pharmacy review. Now what I have realized is that some important/crucial information is left out from the misbah notes. It's hard to say what's important and where the information is, but the medicinal chemistry section I think is the most useful. Not to mention the thousands of mcq questions they have.

For those of you who think I am ignoring you, I'm really not and I am sorry for the delay. I know what it's like when you're looking for some help and no one gives direction. But I'll definitely help you guys. I will send some files your way. Please email me your addresses.

Other than this forum I have never in my life written on them, so sorry if I forget to reply to people haha, it doesn't click that I have to check this every now and then.

Anyways send me your details and we'll move some information around.

Hello,

Kindly help me with you advise and material.
My email is skhzskhz@yahoo.com

Regards,

All the best.

I passed the Evaluating Exam in July 2014 by the grace of God, first attempt. It wasn't easy, but needed a lot of study, study smart and hard both and you can do it.

Congratulations on passing the PEBC EE on first take! wow!

I'll take the Winter 2015 EE and while searching for review materials, I got a link for this thread...

Any tips on what to focus on? or what books to use?

If you have any soft copy review materials, maybe you can share? i'd be more than glad to have them...

Thank you!

I studied Misbah, and PEBC blue print. Whatever subject from blue print that was missing in Misbah, I googled it and studied. There's also a free lecture in Winnipeg for IPG's which I attended. I've seen many people that only studied Misbah and failed. Don't rely on that solely.

Hello

If you have any materials that can help pass the EE exam for Jan2015, I would be grateful if you can send to me. Also do you know any that offer live classes in Vancouver or Toronto to help prepare for EE?
Has anyone taken classes with TIPS pharmacy prep? Thanks

Fortunately I do not live in Toronto or Vancouver. U of Manitoba Faculty of Pharmacy offer free classes for MCQ and OSCE. I attended those which were extremely helpful to pass EE. I studied Misbah and PEBC blueprint and attended those classes.

Hi H!T

I am hoping to sit the EE in summer 2015. I have been putting it off for some time but i really need to do this (focus, focus focus- i keep telling myself). I have the Misbah books and I am in the process of purchasing the CPR book by Shargil. I found you thread very helpful and positive with tackling the EE exam. I would gladly appreciate if you too could email me any files that would be of use for my studies if possible pleaae. My email is sksbakery@outlook.com

Kindest regards

Shinny
