I m waiting for my PPR2 and hopefully will be landing in Calgary in November 2012. Please suggest me your valuable guidelines with regards to a survival jobs till the time i get registered and housing and any other guidelines with regards to studies regarding Pharmacy registration test......

There are many settlement agency that will help on job as well as accommodation.

Survival jobs are there : search Online as well as local job agency.

I do not have much info on Calgary but i am sure someone will help you on it.

I think first you try for Pharma jobs. Like pharmacy assistant or in some pharma company.

You have to give some time to get positive reply.

Then you will gradually come to know.

dude, is it absolutely necessary to go there in November?? can't u avoid the Winter and go there at the end of winter or summer??
winter is really bad for the newcomers in Canada!! :'(

Well yep dude ya r 100% right with regards to winter but my landing period will expire in March, 2013 and i am goin in november 2012 just to get myself settle for my kids n spouse arrival in Feb, 2013.
Insha Allah by God's will, I ll manage myself.

Congrats for your visa.

For your preparation for exams, this institute can help you. And If I am not wrong its free for Immigrants or very nominal fees.

Also try to look for pharmacy assistant job first. You will find it really hard because you have no knowledge of prescription processing software and other policies, but try for it.

If you are OK, offer to do volunteer job for few hours, by this way you will get experience and also will help you in job hunting and exam preparation.
