There was a lot in my plate that time. i was also working part-time at the same time.
Only you can answer this. Why did you do the part-time semesters?

There was a lot in my plate that time and I was also working part-time then. I am so confused now

This won't be accepted as a reason for dropping down to part time status. If you had too much on your plate, you should have stopped working and focused on your studies. Again, one of the requirements for getting a PGWP approved is that you remain a full time student throughout your studies (apart from the last semester/term). You don't meet this requirement. That's the black and white answer here - you need to be expecting a PGWP refusal.

Note that you are only allowed to work part time off campus if you are studying full time. If you dropped down to part time status, you were required to stop working off campus. If you dropped down to part time status but continued working off campus - this will be classified as illegal work and a violation of the terms of your study permit.

I agree totally. You will be refused 100%. Also, the working part does not look good if you plan to apply for more visas

What if we reason out that it is all because of the program structure and make an explanation letter?
but they will see my transcript with 3 voluntary withdrawn subjects?

You could try and get a letter from the university/college, but I still think it will a waste of time and money. Voluntarily withdrawing from courses will not count unless maybe you had a health condition or something, but you obviously didn't as you were working. You can apply for it, but in my opinion you will be flatly refused for the 3 part-time semesters and working illegally.

Is this actually true that your program is structured this way? That explanation makes no sense if you withdrew voluntarily.

If it's true that your program is structured this way, your school would need to provide an official letter stating this and confirming it was not possible for you to engage in full time studies.

An explanation letter from you is of no help or use.

You will only get a PGWP if you study part-time in your LAST semester. If you are not full-time any time before that you will be refused.
Hi,
How about the situation where 1 subject is failed in the last semester, and have to enroll only that subject the following semester. Will it affect the PGWP application? It will be only 1 subject that needs to be completed before applying for PGWP.

It sounds like you'll be fine. If you were a full time student for all of your studies apart from the last term/semester, this is acceptable and there should be no impact on getting a PGWP approved.

Hi,

Thank you for your response

Is there a way that they will find this out and get me deported because of working illegally due to my part time?

They won't deport you - but your PGWP is going to be refused. IRCC will see that you were a part time student based on your transcript.

Will this also affect my future applications like a new study permit or TRV?

Hello guys! My employer is offering me LMIA for restaurant manager. Will I be qualified in case my pgwp is refused? How does it work? Do I apply for express entry under federal skilled worker along with an LMIA and wait to be selected in the pool?

Nobody knows if you will qualify. Your employer has to advertise the job for 4-6 month to make sure no citizen or permanent resident wants the job.

Has anyone tried that? I know for sure that my pgwp will be denied because I was part time for 3 semesters and have not ceased working at the time. It was Fall 2017 - winter 2018. Would that be grounds for express entry with LMIA refusal as well?
