You need valid status to apply for pgwp, visa doesnt matter. If you are within 90 days restoration period you need to restore to study permit and apply pgwp at same time. If it is after 90 days but within 180 days since graduating you need to leave Canada and apply for pgwp outside.

What are the chances of getting pgwp applying outside Canada

Hi Even I applied for PGWP on 9th July and got refused on 13th july. My case is strong as I have continuously studied full time without any breaks. I don't understand how could my application be refused based on not continuously studying full time. I have emailed my DLI to review my completion letters, transcripts and full time status letter for any mistakes. As per my knowledge all the documents were correct proving my completion of masters and continuously full time status. My Study permit is also valid till 31 March 2021. I will definitely reapply next week as I'm still under 90 days restoration period and my study permit expires in 9 months. I'm soo confused as to what might have happened. Any one has any idea??? I waiting for my international student office university for an explanation also!

Because I was enrolled for Masters in mechanical engineering and admitted term was Winter 2019, I registered Summer 2019, Fall 2019, Winter 2020, and finished off my degree 45 credits course based in Summer 2020 (summer 1). And my study permit was valid until 31 March 2021. Concordia university Montreal is DLI. I got my Completion letter on the 9th July and applied for PGWP the same day online with unofficial transcripts and full time status letter. Refusal letter on 13th stating I wasn't continuously enrolled full time. I'm soo upset and dishearted

That's really strange. Did you fail any courses? How many courses per semester were you taking?

Think something is obviously wrong because the average wait time for PGWP is +60days, I don't know how they were able to make a decision so quickly.
