Hello!

Currently, I'm facing an issue with the form imm5710e.
I receive the following message when trying to upload it:

The form could not be submitted because errors were found.
Error: We couldn't upload your file.
  • Error Description:
Make sure you are using the latest application form from our website. You can get it by clicking on the link below.
    • Answer all questions on the form
    • Click on the validation button
    • Save it on your computer (as a PDF)
    • Upload the saved PDF document here

I've tried a few things, according to their website suggestions:

To avoid getting an error
  • Leave the UCI field empty if this is the first time you are applying or if you don’t remember your Client ID.
  • Make sure you are eligible to apply. Example: You can’t extend or change your status if it has been more than 90 days since your previous one expired.
  • Don’t upload a scanned version of the application form. When you apply online, you don’t need to physically sign the form.
  • Try uploading the form using the latest version of Edge, Safari, Chrome or Firefox.
  • Review your information and make sure your documents are not expired.
I'm certain I don't meet these issues, therefore I'm very confused.

Any suggestions I thank in advance!

Quick response, more details soon:
Don't save the PDF in print mode. Just generate the code and deliver the resulted document. Soon I'll link the thread where i found my answer to this problem! It's in this forum.

hi there I think I figured out what you meant by 'resulted document'. Instead of saving it in print mode I just upload the original one, it worked even tho the preview when uploading shows "please wait....." but it at least can be uploaded

Hello! How did you overcome this error? I'm facing this issue and I've tried pretty much all options like browser, internet, device, PDF software etc. I tried Print to PDF as well as uploading the original file, nothing seems to work so far.

Hello, I just did what you guys put up above and would like to give a full explanation: You will need to use the latest chrome/firefox. (Didnt try anything else). First you need to download the document to your computer. Fill out the pdf and do not change the filename. When uploading, choose the exact pdf you download. That should be working.

Registered here only to give an answer to those who are still suffering from this problem as I searched for a way to resolve it for quite a few days, and nothing helped.
Initial data: I have a Mac with the newest update. First, I filled out the IMM form through the Foxit PDF reader (because it's free and it worked for my other application in the IRCC portal). But I was stuck uploading the documentation for my visa application.
Eventually, I used the advice from the official IRCC website - to use especially Adobe PDF Reader, BUT you must download an older version of Adobe Acrobat Reader. You can do it at the link: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/install-reader-x-mac-os.html
Before downloading it asks you to select your operating system. There is not a newest version of MacOS in the list offered so I just chose one from among those offered.
Then, you need to register officially with Adobe. If you don't need Adobe in general, you can use a free trial.
Then, open the IMM file from your computer and complete it using this older version of Adobe Reader. Validate, and save the original file (not "save as" a new file).
Only in this way I could upload the IMM form file on the IRCC portal.
Good luck
