Note: You can’t validate the eIMM 5669 form (Schedule A) with the given name field blank. If you need to leave it blank for one of the reasons above, you can print it without validating it, and include a letter with your application explaining why you had to do this.
I wrote not applicable in the given name section and validated the form. Will this work?

Hi,

where do I find my application number on the invitation letter?
Your application number should be the one you got via email when you applied for invitation.
And if you got the invitation, your invitation letter name (pdf file attached in email)should be the invitation number, it also printed at the bottom of the first page of the invitation letter.

yup same =/
I was concerned that when they were filtering out the duplicates, they would accidentally delete genuine applications. Seems that was justified.

And what happens to people who don’t get selected? Do they get a refund?..lol! This sytem would give the government a lot of money as they won’t process any refunds for those who don’t get selected. It would be too time consuming
No, in the same way you can't ask for your money back if you don't win the lotto. It's all about proving that we are serious and reducing the number who take a chance. If you scroll back through the thread, there is a lot of support for this idea. I would happily pay to be on the list, if it is going to increase the odds of being chosen. It proves I am serious about sponsoring my parents, as opposed to some people who know they don't meet the criteria yet still chance it, or who submit several applications through different email addresses hoping not to be noticed.

Hello,

I need quick help.

Ques-1) in 2018 when me and my wife filed our permanent residency through express entry then my wife was main applicant. Do in that case I’ve considered as being sponsored. Our status before applying was on work permit here.

Ques-2) I’ve got a invitation for my parents in latest draw.
In Imm 1344 form
Question 5 of sponsor eligibility assessment says
In the 5 years preceding this application, did you become a permanent resident after being sponsored as a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner?"
(If you answer "yes" to question 5 and you are sponsoring a spouse, common-law or conjugal partner , you are not eligible to sponsor and you should not submit your application)

so if answer is yes to my 1st question that I’m considered as sponsored then answer to my question 2 is also yes. So in that case is I’m eligible to sponsor my parents?
It says I can’t sponsor spouse or common law but nothing about parents.
And in parents eligibility there are only 3 things- age, Pr/citizen and income- which I have all 3.

PGP 2020 Summary

Total Applications: 203,213
Total Invitations: 13,400 (Before you ask: Yes, I counted!) 6.59 %

IRCC has accounted for 3400 numbskulls (that's over 25%) who will not meet the minimum requirements. So don't be angry at the people who took a deserving candidate's spot or IRCC for that matter.

Stay positive, at this rate they will invite more than 40000 applicants to meet their 30000 quota for PGP 2021. Even if the # of applications go up to 250,000 its gives you a 16% chance of getting selected.

16% is still pretty bad, taking an average of 6 years

Awesome work!

Thanks!

Ok good to know IRCC has already accounted for those cases and invited more.

Excellent!
