I have the same situation. I even sent the web form to change the address. Nothing happens. They still issue me PPR on Aug 16, 2022. Now I sent another web form to finally request for virtual landing.

Hello 2020 applicants, does anyone have a general time line from when they submit passports to when you receive them back?

Also, how long do the visa offices usually give you to submit passports?

Also, if you get a PPR but were planning on travelling to Canada before the request expires, can you travel first, then update the office that you are currently in Canada to get the instructions on how to submit from Canada?

hi , I desperately need help. My father was previously married and his wife died. However we do not have ID card, marriage certificate or death certificate from 60 years back.Records were on paper back then and we have no official or unofficial document to prove it.
CIC is asking for a divorce or death certificate. Has anyone been in a similar situation and was able to resolve with CIC

Same situation - application had Canadian address from the beginning but still got PPR. Also requested virtual landing via web form. Could you please keep us posted on when you hear from IRCC regarding virtual landing? I'll update as soon as I (hopefully) hear back from them too

Hi everyone. My parents are living in home country. My 17-year-old brother is studying here in Canada and living with me (I am his legal custodian). I submitted the application to sponsor my parents in November 2021, and my 17-year-old brother is a dependent. If my application is approved, my parents will come here to land to become permanent residents. I am wondering how my brother as a dependent can become a permanent resident while staying in Canada? Has anyone had a similar experience with the principal applicant being in home country and a dependent being in Canada? Thanks so much in advance!

Just posting to say thanks to this forum and share my in laws timeline if it helps anybody. We finally completed virtual landing today. Local MPs office helped with follow up with IRCC.

My parents are supposed to land this month as PR. What all documents they need to carry?
Also when a newly landed PR gets his/her health card in Ontario? Is it after 3 months like before or immediately as it was done during Covid times?

Can someone apply for SIN number online even before he does the landing?

Any new PR who lands in Ontario is eligible to get a health card immediately. But he/she needs to have a local ID with proof so he needs to go for Ontario Photo card and based on that he can apply for Ontario Heath Card. All this process takes time so even if the eligibility is from very first day you get it too late. Is there any work around?

Hi to all, why would they send this email "Permanent residence portal PR conformation" when parents in home country and allready submitted pp for visa stamping along with ppr letter four days back. Do every one get this email whether inland or outland. How to respond to this email. Tnx regards

Hi,
My parent are also with me in Toronto. Their PCC was submitted and then i got a correspondence letter "Ready for Visa". In the letter they have mentioned that if the applicants and dependant are in Canada, they need to send the web form (with change of address) so we did send the change of address web form? when can we expect response for portal invite?

Yes, got a response to my web form saying they'll forward the virtual landing request to the appropriate office. For reference, the web form was submitted on June 16, the response was received on September 2.

Hello everyone, can you please let me know when should someone expect to get Biometric request. For my parents application timeline medical passed December 2021 , police clearance submitted Dec 2021 , on Feb 2022 received pre arrival letter after that Complete silence for 8 months no update and today I received Biometric request for my parents . Can you please share any thoughts if cic can ask Biometric request at any stage and if there is anything more after this. Most of the timeline I read Biometric is done prior to medical test. I appreciate any information on this . Thanks
